Lupron and Xgeva injection timing.
This question is for you folks who are getting monthly Lupron and Xgeva injections and are on Medicare. I have been getting Lupron injections monthly at my urologist and was told that I had to wait a full month to get the next one. Example, I get an injection on Oct. 19 and I can’t get the next one

Still true that using same scan type is preferable to changing scan type?
Mr. Spouse 21, ten years since dx with Gleason 9 in 80% of cores, has only had bone and CT scans to track progression. That's how it was done in 2014. He's been stable since chemo with his current Eligard & Xgeva treatment--see full Profile for his record of Lupron, radiation, Zytiga (failed), Docetaxel

Conflicting MRI vs PSMA scans
Well it appears that the radiologist who did my MRI was overly cautious. The report said I had a met on my left pelvis, one on my right pelvis, one on my sacrum, additional cancer in my prostate region and sclerotic foci in my pelvic region. Traumatic. We followed that up with a PSMA scan 10 days

Does testosterone fluctuate after ADT ends?
My treatment (Radiation/Lupron/Abirateron/Prednisone) ended on May 2. Gradually my testosterone began to come back. In August it was at 3 nmol/L and in Oct 6 it was 11 nmol/L so it is on a upward trend as can be expected. However I am wondering if there are up and down fluctuations because while

Switching from Lupron to Ogovyx
Has anyone here switched to Orgovyx (relugolix) pills from Lupron shots? Is it advisable to do so? Is there a huge cost differential?

My story of my 23 year battle with Pca.
I have decided to share this with the group because yesterday a guy shared his fear. In no way should you take any of this as a suggestion for treatment or refusal of treatment. I was diagnosed with Pca Gleason 3+3 July 13 2000 ar the age of 49. When the Dr. gave me the results I started sweating profusely

ADT (Lupron) and creatine?
57 yo Swede here. Diagnosed nine months ago 4+3. I am on Lupron after RALP (unclear margins) and 35 times ERBT. I do serious weight training and supplement with Whey protein. I am curious about creatine supplement. intake. Is it safe? I have not read anything against, but nothing that makes me feel totally

Asking for best guess info
As I've written, my husband stopped all treatment this past July after Lupron/Xtandi were causing worsening SEs while PSA was doubling/tripling from undetectable. He's now receiving palliative care and just had his first comprehensive bloodwork since the MO's on June 30. At that time his PSA registered

Update on PSA
Aug 4 - diagnosed PCa, gleason 9 Aug 5 - started casodex Aug 17 - started lupron 3 mth Had my first blood work done yesterday (Oct 5) and PSA is now at 0.56. Was over 9 in June. So, I kind of feel good in knowing that as expected the meds are working and lowering PSA. Meaning I can move forward

Castration resistant in just a year? Normal or not? Provenge in my future.
I'm already "mildly symptomatic castration resistant." PSA tripled in the last 30 days (but still extremely low), after doubling in the prior 3 months. I was diagnosed with stage 4b (mets in multiple bones and nodes) ductal and started ADT 13 months ago. Nubeqa and Docetaxel (Triplet therapy) started

Possible Cure
Hi, I was diagnosed initially 2 years ago as Stage 4 with mets to the bones. Low volume. Gleason 8-9, PSA less than 2 from the onset. I had radiation to the prostate only. After 2 years of Lupron/Zytiga, everything has shrunk or disappeared via PSMA PET. Everything has been good,(but with med

My daughter is going to be put on this drug for uterine fibroids and potential endometriosis for a period of 7 months and then we'll have surgery for hysterectomy. She is very concerned about the side effects of this medication and I'm wondering if anyone on here has had experience using this medication
