Finally Something’s Working
I have had this mutherf*cker of a disease 19 years. I have had numerous rounds of Lupron. I have been on Casodex, Erleada, Nubeqa. Zytiga, Provenge, 8 rounds of Docetaxel and, now, Pluvicto. As is standard, after my third round of Pluvicto I had a PSMA PET scan. Finally, something seems to be working

Kindly seeking advice about my options
I'm metastatic HSPCa on Lupron/Erleada over two years now. Three periaortic lymph nodes and two ribs lesions. Sooner or later, I will go metastatic HRPCa (average about 3 years to become hormone resistant). So, my question is what kind of treatment coming next Thanks for your input

ADT Side Effects and Supplements.
Ok I just read some comments about Lupron and ADT side effects and felt I had to ask the members a question. Yesterday I saw my urologist for my 6 month routine follow up. He looked at my labs and commented on how good they were for a guy on adt for two years. When he got to my kidney function his comment

Chronic sinus issues
I’m currently on an Xtandi, Zometa and Lupron treatment plan. Could there be a correlation between one of these drugs and chronic sinus stuffiness? I also take a cholesterol drug and 3 different blood pressure meds. Thanks in advance if anyone has information. My Best Jim

Disappointed
After Lupron, NUBEQA and Zytega … and a recent FDG Cat scan Several nodes lit up in the periodonal aorta area of his abdomen. Being totally right up against the aorta, a decision was made to remove them robotically. Surgery went well. All lymph’s were removed that lit up on the scan. docs felt PSA

Hello....I am here and happy to help in any way I can. Will try to be concise. G-9...radiation only(28 sessions IMRT) a breeze. Declined lupron...because of a continuing anxiety condition. Metastices showed up 14 most later...PSA 6.7 up to 16.2 in 6 weeks. PSMA pet showed two rib mets and 1 other on

Lupron - are there heart risks?
My father , 83 , recently got diagnosed with Prostate cancer with mets to some bones , as per PSMA test. We have not done a biopsy as one doctor said there is no need to do it as treatment options won’t change but another doctor says it’s good to do it in case later down the line we need to add treatments

Dad,83 - is biopsy necessary ?
My dad , 83 had an elevated psa at 18. Dr ordered MRI which showed a pirads 5 with 2-3 bone metastases in the pelvic region and femur. Went to an oncologist who said to do a PSMA and then to start him on Lupron and bicalutamide. And maybe radiation for the bone met pain. He said he did not really

What Next After Xtandi Fail?
Morning all. Don't post much but now is the time. Been fighting the Beast since Nov 2016. On Lupron from the beginning and Xtandi since Nov 2019. Hit Nadir of .21 in Dec 2022. Since then, PSA has been jumping around, but trending upward. End of 2023, it was at .67. Feb 2024, PSA up to .87. Yesterday

Is it worth it?
I'm a 64 year old gay man married for 30+ years. I went to get my testosterone checked and it was slightly low but the doctor said before he prescribed T he wanted to do a PSA test. My PSA was 8, so he told me no sex or biking for 10 days and we retested and it was down to 5 which he said was still

Strong negative reaction to first Docetaxel treatment
I am participating in an NIH study combining Docetaxel with an immunotherapy. I had my first treatment of only Docetaxel this Tuesday. I lasted 2 minutes and 7cc before I had a severe reaction - severe flushing (glowing red from head to toe), difficulty breathing, sweating, uncontrollable shivering.

Hi allCasodex (bicalutamide) 57% for driving down PSA Lupron 87% BUT........ maybe for an individual would it be worth trying to see if casodex tablets worked better for driving down PSA instead of the lupron injection????

Lupron/zolodex for endometriosis
hello, I went to see my gynaecologist yesterday who suggested having Lupron/zolodex injection once every 3 months to help with the pain until I have my laparoscopy . He said it puts your ovary’s to sleep but then once you stop the injections they go back to normal which worried me what it would do

Chemo Side Effects
On lupron since 2011, recurrance, SPLASH TRIAL, Provenge NOv 2023. Strarted on Taxatere (doxcetel) in March. My MO put me on an 18 infusion schedule (I believe 1/2 normal dose) because of my age, 84. I get infused ever week for 3 weeks, then 1 week off and continue for 28 infusions. I have had 6 infusions

Making a Case for Intermittent ADT in Metastatic Hormone Sensitive Prostate Cancer
FPC'ers, Many times, we hear people claim that you should only stop ADT if you can't tolerate it any longer, and that it will not slow castrate resistance; that it increases risk for stroke, and heart attack; that it will likely take years for your testosterone to recover; that it increases mortality
