New guy just looking for information as I start this journey.
I’m new here. Tomorrow I’m having an MRI and in the afternoon getting my first shot of Lupron. I’m afraid I don’t understand all of the terminology in the posts I’ve read here so I’m not sure where I fit in. I guess the best way to know is to let you know my situation and someone can tell me. Right

Cost comparison between Lupron and Oestrogel
Until the ‘Patch” trial is completed sometime next year there seems to be a lot of unanswered questions regarding the use of tE2. against the tide.....
Has anyone asked their doctor about taking Xgeva every other month? The side effect suck...so wondering if it would still help with bone strength, but be easier tolerated this way? Has anyone NOT started one of the bone drugs....who is on Lupron for 3 or 4 years...? On Lupron and Xtandi for a few

Bought time....I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.
I guess what I'm saying is it would be better to get the time first and pay later...LOL. My radiation oncologist that had made promises of love to me with words like "cure" and "remission"....if I did 5 weeks of radiation...(to the 3 mets that showed up on my scans) now, today in my first visit back

Firmagon vs. Lupron?
My doc wants me to switch from Firmagon to Lupron so that’ll be on a 3 month schedule instead of the every 30 day shot with Firmagon. Which is the better of these two drugs? I started with Firmagon bases on its supposed lower risk for CVD. Not sure what to do. It would be nice to stop getting stuck

Any risk of taking 30% CBD oil when also treated with lupron and Zytiga (and post raidiation) ??
I am considering to start taking 30% CBD oil (as recommended by an expert into this) with the purpose of weakening especially 2 metastases which did not decrease during 7 months of treatment (lupron + zytiga and radiation which ended 3 months ago). I do not have any pain anywhere. My blood numbers are

.008 PSA Bicalutimide Monotherapy
Thanks to Tall Allen I have read some solid studies that say combining treatments is best for overall survival, for personal reasons I am on 150 Bicalutimide monotherapy, these reasons were a severe loss of strength which I thought maybe it was because of previous hormone therapy, in reality it was

Going Back to Houston (or not)
OK j-o-h-n, feel free to post a video of the song... I'm scheduled to go (drive) to M D Anderson in a couple of weeks for my semiannual appointment, which normally includes bloodwork, CT and bone scans, and a prolia shot. But Houston being a COVID-19 hotspot at the moment, I'm hesitant. My local MO

Update
I am a 77 year old gay male, who was first diagnosed in December, 2005 with prostate cancer. I had a robotic prostatectomy February, 2006. Was good for several years when psa started climbing and I had radiation for 7 weeks. Ugh! Once again I was clear until the psa climbed again. Had radiation, Lupron

Why is it not standard to give some estradiol in addition to lupron?
Is there any downside? estradiol would be good against hotflash and also for bones.

PSA doubling time
Does PSA doubling time apply with very low absolute PSA values? My dad's PSA has been slowing climbing since August 2019. 0.01-->0.02-->0.06--0.13 today. Wondering if his treatment needs to be modified. He's currently on Lupron and bicalutamide and received up front docetaxel for 6 rounds. Thanks

Lupron fatigue and nausea
Hello, I received my 2nd Lupron shot (every 4 months) and I notice I get tired easily (exercise really seems to help) but I feel nauseous almost every day. It is not horrible, but something I did not expect. Has anyone else experienced this with Lupron?

Lupron fatigue, etc.
Greetings everyone. Just had my second Lupron shot a few weeks ago and overall, things could be a lot worse. BTW, I am 64 y.o. Fortunately I have a great fiance, although we battle about air conditioning levels (she likes 78, I like it a lot lower due to flashes)... I am accepting the reality of what

Lupron side-effect questions...
Hi everyone! I just had my 2nd every-3-months Lupron shot last Monday. I'm having frequent hotflashes, which seem to only come when I'm in bed or sitting down or in some other way sedentary, but not while I'm in motion. Do any of you notice this too? Will the hotflashes get less over time, or is this
