Why would Active B12 blood test not be recognised by GP when I have lots of symptoms?
I had previously had a blood test for B12 which was apparently normal if a little low. I was told that no treatment was required.I continued to have most of the symptoms of a B12 deficiency so after 4 months and some research I paid for an Active B12 test which showed I was low. I took this to my doctor

Just had a broad spectrum blood test as I still feel like I have just been dug up from the local cemetery … Everything seems fine (Liver, kidneys, B12, adrenals, they even mentioned my bones) … But I (As most of us poor lot do) feel like crap, and utterly fatigued .. Now I’m looking into some stuff like

CRISPR: hopes and research
I will keep you posted, also because it's a very fascinating technique that could potentially solve many health problems (and of course be used for evil...but that's not CRISPR fault, it's a fault in our brain!...which obviously CRISPR cannot fix!) Advice moving forward?
So I recently had blood tests that showed low b12, iron and vit D. Was prescribed tablets for the iron and vit D. And put on a course of B12 loading doses. 6 injections over 2 weeks. it's now been 2 weeks after the last b12 injection and none of my symptoms have improved. When I talked to the gp,

What ever happened?
Why can't I get my fat arse out of my room and bed? I wrote some lists out for what we need to do around the house and remind us what to do on a daily and weekly basis once the deep clean is done, Every time I plan anything I just get waylaid and all that gets done is, tv oh yeah and crap snacking!

Xeloda and Zoladex?
Hi everyone, hoping someone can help clear this up for me. Last week I shifted to Xeloda from Piqray. I asked my oncologist about whether I continue with monthly shots of Zoladex, which are administered by my GP, and she seemed a bit unsure, then said no. I left the hospital without much confidence and

Hi everyone. Some of you may have come across one of my posts this week and may have interacted, but if not, hi 😊 I’ve been going through a lot of the posts on here looking for answers to my query before I post this, but haven’t seen anything that covers it. Is there anybody here that has suffered

Polyps and Abdominal Pain
Background Dec 2023, I started to experience pain when poo’ing, and some significant constipation, that was only relieved with laxatives , once every five days; January 2024 I saw blood on the toilet tissue and started to suffer from abdominal pains. I contacted my GP and after she realised I had

Oral B12
So i am fully aware that those of us with PA don't absorb b12 through our diets, and that we ideally require treatment through IM injections. But i have also seen articles that suggest that it is at least 'possible' to get 'some' b12 from oral supplements. What do we think about this? I have copied in

laxido liquid
hello, for the past 6 months I’ve been suffering from bad constipation, my gp suspected diverticulitis and I have been referred to a specialist, I’ve now had my first appointment and waiting on a date for a colonoscopy. The doctor prescribed laxido liquid and I took my first dose on Monday, by Tuesday

Hi, I've posted about Care Opinion before but look every now and then to see if any stories have been posted about B12 deficiency. They want people to share good and bad experiences of health care in UK. Sometimes the GP surgeries
