I saw the surgeon yesterday. The biopsy confirmed my breast cancer diagnosis. I had to push for information as the pathology results are incomplete. So now I know I have a stage 2 invasive carcinoma, hormone positive. Cancer type to follow. I've been referred for an MRI. I'll have a follow up to discuss

bile reflux
I thought I would bring you all up to speed on my endoscopy yesterday ( Friday 15 March ). I have to say I was surprised by the results, I have Bile reflux, something I didn’t even know existed. It was a bit of a shock if I am honet. So me being me , I read up about it when I got home, as most things

Today is not a good day for me. I didn't sleep well last night. Woke with stomach ache. I have IBS and can't take any ppi s except for pepcid. I also am on Elliqus, Elvail and slow-mag. I have several allergies too. I am trying to stay positive but I could really use some encouragement right now. I

a beautiful practice
over the years I have done yoga in many different studios but it did very little for me. Before ptsd it was the key to my happiness, and after my body was too tense and stuck in fight or flight to let the postures in. This kind of yoga is what I need. Enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCJfXwm97rw

hi ladies. As you know I am going through my second recurrence. My team have not been able to biopsy my offending lymph node as it is to dangerous to biopsy. So the have started me on another course of 6 rounds of Pacitaxol/Carboplatin. I’ve been told that my cancer is slightly more difficult to treat

Biopsy wait times
Hi all, my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer last week and understandably we are all devastated. He has not been well since Oct. X-ray in Dec and CT scan on 3rd Jan. He now has to go for a biopsy and the GP informed him the appointment could take up to 4 weeks. He called the appointment line today and

Dexamethasone
My cousin has a brain tumour and is receiving radiotherapy. In addition, she has been prescribed 2mg daily dexamethasone steroids. I'm wondering what is the difference between this drug and prednisolone?

update on my eyelid problem
Hello, all. I don’t know how many of you saw my previous post a few weeks ago when an ophthalmologist suspected basal cell carcinoma in my eyelid. I had a biopsy and yes he was correct and now I have to have eye surgery to have it removed. I know this is not the site for that, but I thought I would

Back in permanent AF and warfarin dose decrease
Hi All, I used to have paroxysmal AF which was ablated by Prof Schilling back in 2010. I had been in NSR. However I was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in the summer. I had huge delays and postponements before I had a biopsy. I eventually got the results 5 weeks later (rather than the two weeks promised

Relationship advice
I have been with my husband for 31 years, we've had a lot of rough times along the way. When I was diagnosed with ADHD a few years ago it led to a better understanding between us but within 6 months my brother (who I was estranged from, as well as my mother) hung himself. My world was blown apart and

Dear BLT people, I hope you are all doing reasonably well. After my story 1.5 year ago about my misdiagnosed liver cirrhosis its kind of weird to say that I found out that my dad was diagnosed with liver cancer today. (he was never a drinker or fat or what so ever, he is quite old though, he is
