Mirena coil experiences?
Does anyone have experience of a Mirena Coil with Hypothyroidism (esp. Hashimoto's)? I have very heavy periods, now on 100mcg Levo and feeling much improved. I'm 48 so very likely peri-menopausal too. Just had an appointment with the Womens' Health Nurse at our practice who suggested Mirena IUD as

Third episode of persistent AF in 6 months
I had breast cancer 6 months ago and had to have a
mastectomy
and come off HRT. Thankfully, no further treatment is required. Since then, I get a feeling of anxiety,my heart races and then I get the hot flush. This happens ten times a day or more.

New primary Breast Cancer! Grade three lobular triple negative! Unrelated to my MBC. Time frame for surgery?
I am assuming I will have a
mastectomy
as it is already 6 x 5 cm, and perhaps radiotherapy after that. I’ve been told it is unusual to have two different breast cancers so will be tested for the BRCA 1 & 2 gene!

Panic over endo surgery
Hi there,I've been waiting for laparoscopic surgery and a cystectomy for some time to treat what has been classified as severe endo. I got a call to say they are booking me in and now I am really panicked. I have never had any kind of surgery before and, because of where the endo is, I'll also need

Levothyroxine breast cancer
Although I’ve had a double
mastectomy
because I’m trans I still have some breast tissue remaining. This isn’t the only cancer risks there’s others. An also if you have heart problems this increases risks. I get ectopics and I wonder whether this aggravated that as well.

CT Scan Results
This time when I read it, all it mentioned was previous evidence of
mastectomy
. Report mentioned my lungs, kidneys and all the other things they say everytime on my previous CT scans which is all normal. This time they did not mention my tumour, the radiologist always puts size of tumour.

Have the symptoms, shame the doctor didnt want to know.
So all of my teen life I have suffered with heavy, painful periods. I was always told this was normal and has no reason to think otherwise. As a teen I didn't live with my mum so I would go to the doctors and complain and was fobbed off each time so I just plodded along. I fell pregnant at the age of

My cancer journey
Oh dear the mammogram showed a lump in the right breast - not the one inflamed - And so it was
mastectomy

Bone Scan advice
I have been on Letrozole since my
Mastectomy
in June 2019. I had a bone scan then which is standard when starting something like Letrozole as it increases osteoporosis risk. I was fine then so I'm not due for another one for 2 years when hopefully I will stop Letrozole .

5 years and still here!
They are good at emphasising the ‘call if you’re worried about something’ As I’m BRCA1 the issue of elective double
mastectomy
has again been raised. Time to find out more details but looks like it may be the most sensible option for me if I dare to think long term!
