Today is six years since my initial surgery for a left sided
mastectomy
. I remember feeling scared, confused and unsure if my future. I was relieved when the surgery was over and then began the battle!

23 years breast cancer survivor, just found small lump.
This week I notice what I thought was the eczema on my
mastectomy
scar. On closer examination I feel it is not eczema as it is not a rash as such, just a redness of the skin on the scar.

Lap on Thursday - very anxious!
Hi all, I think I’ve bored everyone now, but my lap is on Thursday and am scared shitless!! I will have complete excision (except bowels if they are affected) and partial cystectomy because the endo pierced my bladder badly! I’m scared of being out for many hours, of the catheter pain, of having a bag

Chemotherapy medicine with lesser side effects
She had
mastectomy
done last week. So she will know of the treatment only next week after her stitches are removed. I would like to know if there is any chemotherapy medication available now that has lesser side effects, so that we can ask the doc for the same.

Just starting ibrance
I was originally diagnosed in 2002 and had a bilateral
mastectomy
and then in 2006 it moved to my bone and had 28 rounds of radiation. 11 years with no evidence of cancer then in August it reared its ugly head. I am not on ibrance and Letrozole.

Breast seroma
Had
mastectomy
in August and 3 months on I have developed seroma. I have had it drained 3 times, but it just keeps returning. I have 3 more weeks of chemo to complete then I will have radiotherapy in the new year. Will they still continue with my radiotherapy plan with my seroma still being there?

Day 3 post op
It's day 3 post op - double
mastectomy
with sentinal node on one side. I'm feeling v good considering. Stiff and sore but to be expected. The tightness gets me at times and I kinds panic a bit but that eases off too. I'm doing my exercises and getting there slowly.

About side effects and diet during Paclitaxel chemotherapy
My mother had
mastectomy
done. She has ER and PR negative HER2 (+++) breast cancer. She has already received 4 cycles of AC chemotherapy. Oncologist said she will need 4 more cycles of paclitaxel chemo then radio therapy followed by 17 cycles of herceptin.

Breast mastectomy and reconstruction
I had a recent
mastectomy
and breast reconstruction using tummy tissue. Unfortunately my reconstruction failed and had to be removed a few days later due to issues with blood supply. Anyone else with lupus have a similar experience?

2 weeks post-op drainage
I’m a newbie, I’m 37 and had a left breast
mastectomy
with lymph node dissection done 2 1/2 weeks ago. I’m still draining around 80-90 mls in a 24 hour period. Is this normal for some people or should I be concerned.

Mastectomy
was yesterday and here I am on the other side! The anaesthetist was amazingly reassuring and I didn't lose my mind.

Leaking lymphorrhea
I am having to change dressings on the area several times a day. 7 months after
mastectomy
and reconstruction, surgeons and doctors seem to have no cures or even ideas. Does anyone share this problem?

Hi, I'm Suzanne
I had a single
mastectomy
in January of 2015. Nothing in the lympthnodes, so was able to proceed with reconstruction. I have been taking Anastrazole since and will be for another 2 and 1/2 years. I want to connect with others on this med to compare side effects.
