Group to join?
I joined this group because I can't seem to figure out any solution to help me feel better and I'm not sure what else to try. I tried homeopathic meds for years that stopped working. I did counseling to work through past trauma. Since then I've tried a, b, c, etc... meds from my doctor. Nothing is helping

Dealt a blow after egg collection

Feeling a bit blue :-(
I don't really have a specific problem or question but just feeling quite down today! We were at the stage of progressing to our first round of IVF when my fiancee's best friend from work unexpectedly passed away just over a week ago. He is obviously devastated and has also had to bear quite a bit of

Anyone else estranged from their adult child
I'm extremely depressed about being estranged from my adult child. I've tried everything and each response is more mean-spirited and unkind. My daughter refused to go to counseling and I have nothing else to try. She told me not to contact her along with several unkind words. It's very difficult

Very Bad Day
Today was a very bad day! It started normal. Then I got a panic attack from Hell! I started to shake, so I sat down. My chest started to hurt. I got very dizzy. I had to close my eyes because when they were open, the room felt like it was closing in and I saw flashes of white light. Then I balled. When

My husband's family got this wonderful idea of organising a family reunion in the Alpes. This translate in spending 4 days with young happy families and pregnants sisters-in-law which, as my husband, like to say, where smart enough not too delay too much having children ( I have premature ovarian failure

Anxiety, Loss, and Happiness
I’m writing to apologise for not appearing much on the CLL Support HU for that past 6 months or so and to kindly ask for any advice you can offer. Somebody helped me at the start of this year, by suggesting I make a positive new intention, and try and put aside all the thoughts that have been clogging

NHS to sell DNA tests to healthy people in push to find new treatments
An interesting story which begets many questions. Not least what counts as a "serious genetic condition"! Please try to keep to non-political (especially, non-party-political) comments - though inevitably the story has several obviously political aspects to it.

Blocked fallopian tube. I only have one tube anyway.
So I lost my right ovary and tube years ago due to a larger cyst hat twisted my tube and damaged my tube and ovary. I had a miscarriage last summer and had to have operation and they slightly stretched my tube due to ectopic pregnancy which had the risk of damaging it. I have been unable to fall pregnant

Made the call
I finally found a counseling center near me that takes my insurance AND has counselors that I’m excited about. I made the call this morning to set up my first appointment since my previous therapist changed practices. I left a voicemail. I’m excited to hear back.

Need someone to talk to
I’m feeling super anxious.. just want someone to talk with about it. I keep having little moments of derealization, I try not to let it bother me and then it passes quickly. I’m honestly scared of that feeling and it makes me anxious. Then I start wondering what’s wrong with me and start to feel shameful

Abuse and intimacy
A little background info to start. I was sexually abused when I was around 7 and later in my teens. In the past 6 months I have spoken out and done counselling and been feeling like I'm slowly coping with anxiety's and stress. My husband new from early on I was "broken" and he has always supported me

Campral (acamprosate) stopped me drinking :)
Hello all, bit over the top with my title, but this drug is certainly working for me, I used to drink 70+ units a week. I then cut right down but then crept up to around 40 units a week. I had regular breaks of a week or two before starting to drink again. My main concern was the constant urge to drink

Fertility counselling
We are starting our second cycle at the end of Feb. Managed to book an appoinment with a fertility counsellor and will be keeping up with it. We have been before on our 1st cycle and the counsellor understood the whole IVF process and gave us good techniques to deal with it all. One of the tips I found

Finally went to my doctor
A year gone December I felt the scales tipping the wrong way. I'm at rock bottom and recognised that I couldn't continue this way. Luckily the gp I saw has been active in my care for a lot of years and understanding. Dealing with a sick family including elderly mum is taking its toll, throw in an ongoing
