In focus: targeted therapies - PARP inhibitors
Their availability is different depending on where in the UK you live, so we’ve summarised it below: Olaparib (‘
Lynparza
’) •First and second line through the Cancer Drugs Fund in England and its Welsh and Northern Irish equivalents for BRCA-positive people who meet the criteria.

After two years, My trial has now stopped working
The clinical trial combo of olaparib(
lynparza
) and cediranib that I've been on for nearly two years has stopped working for me. My PSA is escalating along with more lesions and nodules that are more prevalent from my previous scans.

It would be to toxic for him to combine the chemo with the
lynparza
at the same time. Mike is on the radar for clinical trials here in our area through the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals as well as Dana Farber. In conversation with Dr.

Dr. Oliver Sartor on Rucaparib & Olaparib.
He refers to two FDA PARP inhibitor approvals for PCa, from May 2020. [2]
Olaparib [
] Wikipedia [2a]. FDA notice [2b]. Darryl reported this in May [2c] - received no response. Approval based on the
PROfound
trial. NEJM paper (April) - Johann de Bono.

"How to Starve Cancer" and Care Oncology Center
I have finished 6 rounds of chemo for stage IIIc ovarian cancer and am slated to receive Avastin/Oliparib (
Lynparza
) for the next two years while being scanned periodically. Seems like my cancer was aggressive enough that my onc doesn't wan't me out of his sight for a while. Sigh.

Anyone use Methylphenidate for fatigue?
Currently on all the HT and
Lynparza
for advanced PCa. Dr. gave me a script for Ritalin (methylphenidate) to try and see if that helps. I basically don't get off the couch - between the pain of my C5-6 met and the fatigue. Thoughts?

Anyone taking Darolutamide develope asthenia, a known side effect? I've read similar SEs with Xtandi, so is this with all lutamide drugs?
MO then put him on
Lynparza
(he had somatic BRCA) , then a couple months later added Zytiga and Xgeva. This worked WONDERFULY for over 1-1/2 years! Life was almost completely 'normal'!!

How long for lynparza to work? Is pseudoprogression possible?
Hi- I was wondering 1) if anyone knows how quickly
Lynparza
starts working and also- 2) has anyone had the experience that PET scan suv increased (but cancer did not) initially but stayed on the drug and it then worked to kill the cancer.

Anyone on Lynparza?
I recently started
Lynparza
. I'd like to know the experience of others who have been on it for a significant period of time. Is it beneficial? I've had surgery and 6 rounds of chemo for ovarian cancer, IIIc.

Darolutamide vs Proxalutamide - for a Hail Mary??
After that, went to Olaparib (
Lynparza
) took care of liver mets but not PSA, so added Zytiga, and that worked very well for over 1-1/2 years - until last summer. MO took him off the
Lynparza
, and switched the steroid from prednisone to dexamethasone to get more time on Zytiga..

Looking for advice for friend
Tried
Lynparza
(he is BRCA2 positive) and that only worked briefly. Then had radiation as cancer spread to spine upper arm and several ribs. Next is a different kind of chemo. Any thoughts or ideas from those of you who know a lot more than I do?? Roger B.

After 4th Xofigo injection, bone marrow 'crashed'? - Cancer or side effect from Xofigo?? Next step??
+ Zytiga & pred, switched from pred to dexamethasone, then stopped
Lynparza
so he could start Xofigo while staying on Zytiga + Dexamethasone. My husband is on a the list at Cornell for the AC 225 treatment. He wanted to wait until they could figure out a way to protect the salivary glands.
