Waiting for PSA
(Gland removal in 2014, radiation and
Lupron
in 2017) PSA was .2 in April, .2 in May and .3 now in June. My MO says let it go above .5 so a scan may better locate the cells. He advises starting ADT now will put the tiger back to sleep before it can be found.

Followup on Lack of CT Correlate: Is this a Liver Met?
MO admits this may instead be some kind of “metabolic response” that is not cancer, and as such should remain the same size when I scan again after 6 months of
lupron
/abiraterone.

Depo-Provera Pros & Cons
My MO is suggesting Depo-Provera in response to my complaints about
Lupron
SEs. I'm a bit reluctant to take yet another 3-month shot, that can't be undone if I don't do well with its SEs . If you've tried it, what are your experiences?

I am self diagnosing AN affecting underarms and groin. Any of you folks know of any connection with PC or with Lupron/Xtandi?

Joint and leg pain!!!
But my theory is that the joint pain could be due to the chemo,
lupron
, Zytiga, etc! So isn’t that really cancer pain? Some of those meds do deplete joint lubricant? Thank you for your suggestions!

ADT vs physical castration pros and cons
Is the outcome from toxic drugs like
Lupron
(osteoporosis, high blood pressure, Parkinson, alzheimer, whatever else comes from long use of ADT) lessened by choosing physical castration?

My journey with PCa
Not wanting to play Russian roulette with cancer, I elected to have whole pelvic 40 SRT sessions and ADT treatment ( 6 mos
Lupron
with my testosterone at 469.4 ng/dL before injection). I finished my radiation about month ago and two weeks ago had ultra sensitive PSA and testosterone tests.

Brief, intense radiation and hormone therapy for very high risk prostate cancer
They added a short course of Erleada and Zytiga to just 6 months of
Lupron
. I think they erred in not treating the pelvic lymph nodes. https://www.prostatecancer.news/2021/06/brief-intense-radiation-and-hormone.html

Frustrated with Lupron weight gain and not being able to drop #'s
I've been on Abiraterone 250mg and
Lupron
90 day inj's and Prednisone since Sept 2019. And
Lupron
injection again. Disappointed with: Weight gain and lack of total energy. Should I be persistent with my med oncologist June 8th on my 21 months of APC treatment? Or not?

I need hope
I have done falsodex and letozole along with
lupron
and xgeve. My onc says exemestane is next by in self but I’m thinking why if I have failed one AI already. I know that there are lots of more treatments but I feel like I’m not getting the best care.

ADT Effectiveness
My husband has been on 4 month
Lupron
since Jan 2021 and Abiraterone 1000mg since March. His original regimen was ordered for 2 years, but doesn't sound from what I read that it will be effective that long. Any feedback is appreciated. His PSA has gone from 51.3 in Dec 2020 to 0.3 in May..

Finally joining in...
After radical prostatectomy, clinical trial of chemo, and external beam radiation, the psa slowly rose until about 4 years ago, when I began
Lupron
injections. The psa went down, and has risen to a current 2.5. In a few weeks I will meet with my urologist and make a plan for the next treatment.

One Step Up Two Steps Back - "Bruce Springsteen"
Robotic,
Lupron
and Radiation on the checked list. I'm trying to stay "fit" but my former pleasant leisurely two mile stroll now feels like a 27 mile marathon where I hit the wall two minutes after leaving the house. My energy level non existent as my testosterone. The back pain constant.

Need Knowledge and Advise please
DX in 2017, G 5+4, had RP, did 37 Radiation, had BCR in 2019, been on
Lupron
since then. PSA is undetectable. Last Tuesday I woke to find my left leg swollen about a 1/4 larger than my right leg. Went to urgent care, Urinalyses normal, Kidney/Liver function normal .

Orchiectomy - Are you happy with the results?
No more
Lupron
. I have been on
Lupron
for 2 1/2 years. Just completed my 4th infusion of Docetaxel, 2 more to go. Question - for those of you who have had an Orchiectomy, are you happy you did it? Any complications. Seems like a natural move for me. Thanks for you input. Tom
