Guardant Liquid Biopsy - when is best to do this?
On
Lupron
and 1/2 way thru 6 docetaxel chemo treatments. Had genomic testing of biopsy sample which showed MMR deficient and MSI high. MO suggested doing liquid biopsy, though unclear on timing.

Another week of complete agony
The pain is most always in areas where I have bone mets, so I don't know if it is directly because of the mets, or maybe caused by
Lupron
and/or Zytiga.

Zoladex (GnRH agonist) + simultaneous HRT - help!
My symptoms match exactly those of everyone else who has been permanently disabled by this drug and others like it, such as
Lupron
. I have been looking back over my medical records today. I did not receive any "add-back" therapy or HRT until AFTER surgery.

Gleason 6 but Metastatic
Have started ADT -
lupron
+ darolutamide (arasec trial, open label). My question for the group is - what am I to make around all the literature around G6 not having potential for being metastatic? Dr. Walsh book gives a stat of something like 14,000 G6 and zero cases of metasasis.

Transdermal E2 Gel (tE2) As An Alternative To Lupron
When everything else failed and I became a candidate for ADT I refused to subject myself to the exorbitantly priced injections and the nasty side effects of
Lupron

Things I Like About ADT
I'm about a year out now from starting on Zoladex shots (a drug that works in the same way as
Lupron
), and I wanted to post about what I found to be some actual GOOD things about being on this stuff: #1 - I'M NOT DEAD: Ok this is the most obvious one.

Genetic testing recommendations
Just diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer (M1B) and have started ADT:
lupron
+ darolutamide (more details in profile). Looking for recommendations to insure I have the best genetic information available. Tumor was submitted for Decipher testing which came back as low risk (0.24).

looking for treatment advice
Husband is on Abiraterone, Prednisone and monthly
Lupron
shots. He completed 6 docetaxel treatments in April. PSA has slowly gone from almost 7000 to 4 since last diagnosis last September. So far it is still slowly dropping each month but no where near undetectable.

Question about bicalutamide
i was diagnosed Gleason 8-9 in Fall 2018, with 3-10 possible bone Mets. i started bicalutamide, then three weeks later started
Lupron
. Continued bicalutamide for three more weeks before dropping it. Almost four years later, still on
Lupron
only (except for starting Xgeva in Jan 2020).

Docetaxel Chemo: What Helped Me…
Your skin is going to get more dried out from the chemo as well as from the lack of testosterone from the
Lupron
shots (skin oil production goes down). Use good moisturizer twice a day and SPF 50 sunscreen on your face.

PSMA scan results
We did 36 days of full pelvic radiation, two years of
lupron
and one year zytiga. He has been off
lupron
since December 2021, and off zytiga since august 2021 (he could only tolerate a year). PSA and T were both down to undetectable the entire time.

Brain metastasis treatment options?
We got a second opinion but another specialist (NHS) said the same and my dad agreed to their treatment which was xtandi and
lupron
. Xtandi and
lupron
worked for around a year before my dad’s PSA started gradually increasing again.

Testosterone - How low can it go?
Plan was to follow PEACE-1:
Lupron
, abiraterone & 6 rounds of docetaxel. Had to stop abiraterone first for irreg. heartbeat & then right before starting chemo as bilirubin went way up. Since chemo is hard on the liver, abiraterone is on hold til done chemo.
