Lupron and Abiraterone post treatment expectations?
Ive had RP; PSA didn’t go to zero; started
Lupron
and Abi + Prednisone and then 33 radiation treatments of whole pelvic region. PSA has been undetected for 7 mos now. Hope to stop all treatments after 6/24 Has anyone walked similar path? Did PSA stay at zero? Did libido return?

I have been receiving
Lupron
shots every three months and taking Xtandi daily for a little more than a year. This follows a RALP and 36 days of radiation, all parts of my doctors’ kitchen sink strategy. No doubt there is a lot going on in my body.

Bill Bixby's Battle with Prostate Cancer
Lupron
was beginning to be used around 1989, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leuprorelin. Not much can be gleaned about his battle from online articles of his death. He discovered his PC when he was "ill". He was "very weak" for a week or so before he died.

ADT w/ Heart History
Radiation Oncologist suggests 30 days of casodex, followed by
Lupron
injection, then 25 EBRT sessions, followed by 1.5-3 years of ADT, per NCCN guidelines. But referred to Medical Oncologist. Today MO scared about
Lupron
given heart disease. Referring to another cardiologist for consult.

ADT Recommendations
The doc suggests starting with Casodex and then two sequential
Lupron
shots. Is there a better way to do ADT for that period? I'd like to get my testosterone back quickly at the end of the treatment period if possible. I know that Orgovyx would allow me to do that, but it's too pricey for me.

Effect of Baseline T on T-Recovery Time
Here's a plot of % of Men who recover their baseline testosterone after stopping ADT (
Lupron
), as a function of ADT duration for two different groups: (A) men who had a
normal
baseline testosterone (red line), and (B) men who had a
low
baseline testosterone (green line).

Uh... Oh... New Phase Awaits?
Eventually HT (
Lupron
+ Casodex) in mid 2013. Worked great. Since then lengthy HT vacations 12/19/22-6/22/23 ---Orgovyx.

Symptoms when ADT no longer works?
Taking abiraterone + prednisone daily and
Lupron
shots twice a year. I am doing my best to live one day at a time but wonder what things will look like when the cancer becomes resistant. Does anybody know?

My 5 Year Blood Test Results
Unfortunately it is not available in The US, perhaps because it would eliminate the outrageously priced trimonthly

Not The News I wanted To See :(
I've had most if not all of the SOC oral meds and I'm still on three month
injections.
Wishing all the best outcomes in your personal journeys.
Thanks, Larry

TURP Prior to Radiation: Opinions?
All things considered, my problems with urination were pretty significantly reduced after chemo/
Lupron
/Nubeqa. So, my dilemma is this, I hadn't completely given up on the idea of getting a TURP so that I can get rid of my urination symptoms without taking Flomax.

I Am Following MO's Advice and Sticking With the
Lupron
and "Abi" To See If PSA Continues To Rise and Then Have Scans When PSA Indicates They Might Be of Some Value. Not Sure What The Next Step Will Be If PSA Continues Trending Upwardly and If Scans Confirm Changes To Tumors....

Energy Boosters?
62 months of
Lupron
, Zytiga and prednisone is starting to take its toll on my energy. I still do an hour of QiGong, biking and hiking most days but getting harder to motivate myself through the ever increasing exhaustion. That said, anyone finding an energy boost from medical cannabis?

Leg cramps
About 4 months on
Lupron
. Besides the miriad of daily hot flashes, mild tired, I have been feeling decent, but last few days lots of leg, calf, and other muscle cramps. Can this be related to
Lupron
? Taking Oxybuton for hot flash, but low dose.

Tired, sick-feeling, slightly unsteady?
Abiraterone, prednisone,
Lupron
, radiation. My PSA levels remain low and steady. However, for the last few weeks I have felt weaker than normal, slightly nauseated, and a little unsteady when walking. Pretty much all day long. Does anyone know if this is "normal?"
