Hormonal injections and oral hormones
Can hormone injections like
Lupron
, Zoladex, etc. be also castration resistant? 2) if
Lupron
or Zoledex can be castration resistant, how do we know which one — hormonal injections or oral hormones— is castration restriction?

Weakness in legs/calf muscles?
Just finishing first 6 months on
Lupron
. Despite regular leg exercises, I have incredible weakness in legs/calf muscles, making it very difficult to walk. Anyone else experience this? Is this caused by
Lupron
? Any solutions? Thank you.

Advice needed IVF
*Second retrieval: Microdose
Lupron
Flare protocol. 11 eggs retrieved. 2 fertilized normally with ICSI and Zymot. Doctor calls and now says it is a sperm issue, but we will transfer the 2 embryos on day 5. Stated he will now do the Sperm DNA fragmentation test as well.

Possible Cure
After 2 years of
Lupron
/Zytiga, everything has shrunk or disappeared via PSMA PET. Everything has been good,(but with med side-effects) but with no measureable testosterone or PSA.

My trajectory after a "vacation" and a new metastasis
My backgound briefly (full details in Profile): aggressive form, BRCA2 mutation, RP in 2017, then 39 sessions of radiation, and 3 yrs of
Lupron
. All at Smilow Cancer Hospital. As a result, my PSA was undetectable for 2.5 years, and in 9/21 I was put on a "vacation" from treatment.

History Question for Tall Allen or others.
Lupron
(ADT) Trial. Sounds like good science to me but a Political Mine Field to get US FDA approval. I am surprised they even got FDA approval for the Clinical Trial. In any case I can not find any further info on the internet as to what happened in the trial or to the original drug company.

Castration resistant in just a year? Normal or not? Provenge in my future.
Still on
Lupron
and Nubeqa. Most of what I've read on doctor google says mCRPC takes 2-3 years to develop. Is that accurate in the group's experience. Am I just "lucky?" LOL I'm just completely bewildered in how I've gone from no indication of cancer 18 months ago to where I'm at now.

Still true that using same scan type is preferable to changing scan type?
He's been stable since chemo with his current Eligard & Xgeva treatment--see full Profile for his record of
Lupron
, radiation, Zytiga (failed), Docetaxel at year five, followed by lifelong Eligard and quarterly Xgeva.

Hungry!!
I'm four years into stage 4,
lupron
and abi/pred doing their job well. Undetectable. My question....about a year ago I began to develop an increased appetite.. especially for sweets. Have gained about 8 pounds and find on some days I seem to be eating/snacking a lot.

Husband has passed
He seemed to be doing quite well with ADT treatment
Lupron
/ea 3 months, plus bone shot, and Abiraderone 250 mg daily for 2 1/2 yrs. Had all the terrible side effects you all experience. On no medication other than that. No other illnesses.

Conflicting MRI vs PSMA scans
I am currently on
Lupron
and Erleada for six more months. Ive been on both for 18 months now after radiation to the one cancerous lymph node, below the illiac artery, and my entire lower lymphatic area. My questions to my good friends on this blog is this..

Spot Radiation before Pluvicto?
He’s nearly 80 now, not 70, so there are the comorbidities of age + heavy, heavy treatment: total years of
Lupron
/Eligard (7 yrs and current); 9 weeks of radiation; 10 rounds of chemo; 3 yrs of Xgeva (started 6- month schedule recently). Failed Zytiga.

Feeling sore and tired
I have been on
Lupron
since the beginning, I had radiation to my prostate as well as the other four spots back in 2019. I took Xtandi for three years. After being undetectable my PSA rose slightly for about a year and a half and I had a few more spots zapped with radiation.

Cognition Issues
He is now on a clinical trial with NUBEQA plus
Lupron
. It brought his PSA from 14 to 4.5 and it is just setting around there for about 3 months. He just had a PSMA scan, a CT scan and an MRI all of which were NED.

How high must the PSA levels be before cancer can be seen in a CT scan?
Following the end of my treatment (radiation,
lupron
, Zytiga, prednisone) with curative intent back in May, my PSA has risen from undetectable to 0.09. As discussed on another thread this is not alarming at this stage since I still have a prostate as I never had surgery to remove it.

1st Lupron shot - when do side effects kick in?
I'm bracing myself for the side effects, haha. Wife is going away for a few days and she said when she returns she expects to see me in the kitchen, baking cookies and watching reality TV. Wondering how long it will take before I feel anything...then again, I'll probably find out tonight when I roll

Bleeding after salvage radiation
Currently about one year into
Lupron
+ Abiraterone + prednisone. Recently experienced very mild rectal and/or blood in stool. Is this likely due to the radiation, or something else?

PSA suppression
In the end, I decided to skip Abi, Enza &
Lupron
and go back in time to DES (diethylstilbestrol). It's a synthetic estrogen that maintains bone health even while estradiol falls to zero. And it has anti-PCa properties.
