My story
I haven’t been on in awhile but wanted to update everyone. My liver specialist from the liver institute Methodist hospital told me this morning was our last visit unless I needed him again. I retired from ER nursing in 2017 bc I was diagnosed with pbc and possibly nrh according to the pathology report

So, what is it? NAFLD, Fibrosis or NA Cirrhosis?
Hi everyone, so I had a biopsy in December last year and the results weren't great. My letter from the consultant at the hospital said that I scored a 5 out of 6, where zero is an absence of fibrosis through to six, which is likely or definite cirrhosis (this is using the Ishak scoring system), which

Some good news
Well had my 12 month follow up yesterday. I posted a little while ago because I was a bit anxious about it. I feel well, but was a bit worried there may be something lurking that I’d overlooked. As you all said....there was nothing to worry about. Alls good with blood and scan. He’s happy that all my

Liver problems and INR
Hi Everybody, hope you all having a nice day. Maybe if you read some posts of me before I sometimes doubted my diagnose for Liver Cirrhoses. The diagnose was over 2 years ago, but still things are just not adding up for me. Yesterday I watched a video again, where they give 14 signs of liver cirrhosis

Wellness poster for my stay at hospital
I am due to have a stem cell transplant and have prepared myself for my stay at the hospital. It’s been suggested that I can decorate my room and can use posters to put on the wall. I wonder if anyone could suggest somewhere online that they would know of that I could find any reasonably priced posters

Best Liver scan after Fibrascan..
For the past 2 years, have had a progressing NAFLD, despite changing diet, exercise, no sugars, drinks, losing weight etc etc. My bloods ie LFT's all seem well within range. I had expected my KPA score to go down over 2 years, but it seems to be going in the other direction. Consultant seems to think

I'm a bit Scared, to be honest😥
Dear All, Several of my neighbours, we only have eighteen flats, have had/ currently 'have' COVID. Now I know that this 'Variant' isn't as Serious- to Most People that is! However I am Immune Suppressed, due to BOTH Vasculitis AND a Kidney Transplant (in July 2013).Clearly IF I DO contract, this disease

Non Alcohol Fatty Liver
Hi all. I have been struggling with fatigue, unplanned weight loss ( only a little) and bowel issues overall. GP had only been able to diagnosis me with Non Alcohol Fatty Liver. From what I've been told by medical professions, they either make my liver disease seem very serious or no big deal. Anyone else?
My GP incorrectly diagnosed me with cirrhosis. I went to see a liver specialist who told me I had non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, not cirrhosis. I'm angry that I was incorrectly diagnosed, but I'm glad it's not the former. I have lots of mixed feelings. I know I need to lose weight (currently over
