Short protocol IVF help please ladies :)
Hey lovely ladies I’m due to be starting my short cycle IVF very soon as soon as my AF starts and I’ve been told to go on the pill for some days before a scan and check lining then start stimms etc etc... Is this right? Anyone else done this too? I’m also currently on NAC, ubiqionol, omega 3, folic acid

How Does Smoking Affect Sleep??
I'm passing this on from one of our members, BlueEyedGal Each year, nearly 6 million people die worldwide from tobacco use and related diseases. Smoking has a long list of health risks, including cancer, depression, anxiety, heart disease, and much, much more. But smoking also interferes with your sleep

Alendronic Acid
I had a GP app this am to review HRT ( for recurrent UTIs). While there, she said I should be taking Alondronic Acid. That Calcium/ vit D was no protection on its own for bone density. Concudering I was on Prednisolone all last year for PMR, and saw Rheumatologist at least 3 times, I was pretty shocked

Thank-you to all who responded to my post in July. Stress=Cortisol; too much pain to even think, but things are improving & this is why...
Stress is a killer - we all know it. I am hashimoto's. I have adrenal fatigue and I have a diagnosis of fibromyalgia. I have 17 known food intolerances. Posture and seating for me are vital, as is sleep!...this is what happened to me... The medical profession discusses 'stress' everywhere, but just how

Diagnosis (after a fashion)
Well, there we are then. Rheumatologist has decided that I have probable gca. Probable because of the negative biopsy and blood results. I'm to begin reasonably slow steroid reduction and start on alendronate A DEXA scan is on the way too. Next appointment is in 2 months so fingers crossed that the

BGSE appointment-help!
Hi all, bit of a strange one but I had my laparoscopy in March, and I've continued to be in pain since then. This was at my local hospital, not a BSGE centre. I haven't been impressed with the gynae who lied and said I'd agreed to go on the pill rather than giving me a lap, then didn't tell me all that

Progress and a bit of fun
I wrote a silly ditty for someone on her quite a while back. Am posting it here now so I can delete from my iPad as iCloud alarmingly getting full and I don't want to pay 70pence - I know - I am that old miser. I am currently on 6 and 5.5 alternate. Slight delay to latest reduction as I fell hard on

A BIT OF A WARNING ON USING MEDICAL MARIJUANA (MM) AS A SLEEP AID AND THE USE OF MELATONIN 123 AS ANOTHER OPTION FOR SLEEP PLUS TWO OTHERS
In a previous reply to a thread about using MM as a sleep aid, I mentioned that although I did not think it was addictive, I felt that it could easily become a regular part of your going to sleep routine and in that sense, possibly habit forming, so I suggested mixing it up with the "melatonin 123" method

Choline Risk in Vegan Diets
There was just an item on the news just now about choline a vital brain nutrient. Vegans, and vegetarians already know they need to ensure an adequate intake of B12, omega-3 and calcium. The main sources of choline are eggs and milk. Here is the article: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-49509504

Hi, it's my first time on here so please be gentle. I was diagnosed with RA in February this year by my rheumatologist. I also have non alcoholic fatty liver disease, I'm told that they go together a lot of the time. She prescribed 15 mg mxt along with prednisolone, plus the usual alendronic acid, adcal

Anyone have trouble sleeping / falling asleep after stopping Amitryptiline? i know it is a sleep aid, so naturally when stopping your body has to adjust.. how long will it take before my sleep gets better?

About to reduce Pred for 1st time, and wondering about Calcium/Vit D vs Alendronic acid
I posted here about a month ago to say I'd been put on a 5 day diagnostic trial of Pred at 30mg and wondered if it was a bit high. Lots of really helpful replies, thank you! What happened then was that I spoke to a different GP (let's say Dr B), who when I told her how quick and effective it had been

Small update after liver biopsy and blood work
Just wanted to make a follow up post. I mentioned in my first post my hesitation to get a liver biopsy. I went through with it and along with my blood work the results still seem inconclusive. My doctor said biopsy showed some fatty liver, no fibrosis but some bile injury. I plan to make a new appointment
