3 am protocol for T3, please tell me about it?
Endocrinologist has agreed, at my request, to a substitution of some Levothyroxine for the
Liothyronine
to see if this helps. In the few weeks before the new prescription is issued I would like to try the 3 am protocol to see if that works better for me but I haven't read the books about it.

Results of TSH Modification Experiment
I felt so unwell by 2 am Monday that I got up and took a 5 mcg tablet of
Liothyronine
and decided I would go for the blood tests at 9 am. Clearly, another day would have been too much punishment.

Endo appointment and liothyronine
Hello all, My endocrinologist appointment is coming up soon. I have had the blood test, but typical NHS they only test TSH. My endo said, last time that I spoke to her, which was in June, she said my TSH was coming down and I may or may not, need an increase next appointment. Whilst I have been very

Yet, so many here have had a problem in getting a handful of
liothyronine
tablets due to ignorance and fear in GPs (primarily, but also some endos) of getting into trouble.

My Endo Consultation Disaster…. No T3 for me.
I pleaded for a trial of just 5mcg per day and he said that
Liothyronine
was bad for the heart and it would give me palpitations. I said I would split 5mcg into two per day but he would not budge.

Private Blood Test Results
Levothyroxine only didn’t work for me and after a couple of not so great endo appointments I finally found a really good endocrinologist who agreed to add in
liothyronine
and commenced me on 20mcg of
liothyronine
(split into two doses) in addition to existing 100 mcg Levothyroxine).

Recent Pulse article for GPS. 😡
Currently there is a 49-fold variation in prescriptions for
liothyronine
as a proportion of treatment between regions in the UK, it notes. Some areas had banned its use due to dramatic price hikes but more recently
liothyronine
cost has come down.

Should I increase T4 or T3?
Diagnosed with paroxysmal AFib in 2021 (in A&E), was on 75mcg Levo and 10mcg
Liothyronine
(not converting well from T4 to T3) Was doing ok with ranges of FT4 around 15 -17(12-22), FT3 around 5.2 -5.9 (3.1-6.8) and a suppressed TSH of around 0.1 – 0.005 (0.27-4.2).

How to change from T3 only to T4?
In the end I found 50 mcg
Liothyronine
was best for me, sometimes in the winter I take a little more, up to 62.5.However, it's stressful and expensive to self medicate.

Good News
I have been taking 3x 25mcg Tiromel and I got Mercury Pharma
Liothyronine
Sodium, the pills are 20mcg, he told me to take them 3x and the 50mcg Levo first thing in the morning. I’ll have to get used to that 🙈 Has anyone had this kind of change to their meds? If so, anyone experienced any issues?

Shoulder pain and stiffness
I am on 75mcg Levothyroxine and 10mcg
Liothyronine
daily. I am due to see my endocrinologist at the end of December so hopefully will discuss it with her. I have been having regular massages but nothing is really working. Has anyone else been experiencing these issues?

Difficulty in obtaining Morningside Liothyronine
I have been taking 5mcg of
Liothyronine
twice daily alongside 75mg of Levothyroxine prescribed by my consultant around 4 years ago. ( I have had Hashimotos' disease for almost 40 years)My problem is that I cannot obtain Morningside brand of
Liothyronine
from my usual pharmacies.

Antibiotic therapy. Now I have severe insomnia
My current dose of thyroid medication is: 1) Levothyroxine 100mcg daily in the morning 2)
Liothyronine
12.5mcg in the morning and afternoon I'm skipping the afternoon T3 dose for a couple of days to see if that will correct the problem. As I type this message, I'm unable to sleep.

GP note to Endo... I wonder how this will pan out... Update added
I can see in your last letter, you recommended Levothyroxine 100mg daily and
Liothyronine
10mg in the morning and 5mg in the evening. Her TSH remains suppressed at less than 0.05 and I would be grateful for your advice about amending her medications.
