I haven’t posted on here for quite some time now. For the last few years I have being buying my t3 over the counter either myself when on holiday or when friends or family are on holiday in Greece. I only have enough for a couple of months left so I need to buy online again but I don’t know who is

Goitre and antibodies but bloods all fine
Hi, I developed a fairly big lump in my neck in July 23. Did the 2 week wait thing and had an ultrasound and saw an ENT consultant. They diagnosed a thyroid nodule and said it looked normal with no need for FNA. Consultant asked for endo to see me and I am still waiting for this or any acknowledgment

BBC Article : Prescription drugs sold online without robust checks
Whenever I see this type of article - the BBC and others produce these things every couple of years, I think - I start worrying that I'm going to lose access to thyroid hormones on the web. I know this subject came up with the MHRA last year or the year before, but I don't have a link. Link : https:

Help boosting thyroid without medication?
Hello all I have posted before as my thyroid function is poor but always comes back in range (my TSH never rises even with low levels) so no chance of medication on the NHS (other than statins for high cholesterol which I refuse). I did some recent tests TSH 1.95 (0.27-4.2) T4 14.6 (12-22) T3

Thoughts please!
I am still struggling terribly to tolerate any doseage of levo or lio - combo or mono. It makes me feel even worse/is completely debilitating. I have tried changing when I take the doses, the brand etc you name it and still no better. It’s notable that my blood pressure gets too low on it too. Am I

Update following meeting with MO
For those following my journey, I had a face-to-face meeting with my MO today and learnt a few things I didn't know. Firstly, the genetic test of the liver tumour the NHS do only tests for BRCA - no other genes. The reason appears to be that the only treatment they would offer is a Parp inhibitor so

Considerations when starting out with private endo
I’m thinking of going to a private Endo. Looking at the list, there’s none in my county. I can travel half hour to one that’s just private and he sounds good but that means if I do get T3 and it does work, I’ll be forever paying for it (I don’t know costs yet). There’s one that’s NHS and private

T3 stopped 😡
Hi everyone ❤️ As some of you may know my gp stopped my T3 until I saw the endo on Dec 27th which didn't go well😠.. My gp said I would see the endo before my T3 ran out😂 this of course never happened so she gave me one months supply to tide me over. The appointment with the endo was for thyroid medication

GP advice needed please!
Hello, I was (eventually) diagnosed with Hashimoto's 25 years ago (the misdiagnosis nearly killed me, I was literally a week away from a coma, the consultant said.) I've been on 150mcg on day one and 175mcg day two, for 25 years. Every time I move house, the gp decides to reduce it, then puts it back

Choices
Apologies for this seemingly random question but which do members think has the ‘least worst’ effect on T4 - pain or analgesics?

Endo finally tested FT3! Thoughts?
At my last endo appt early Dec, the consultant kept his same stance that my blood tests were all in range and my symptoms were all due to perimenopause. He said there was slight room for a small increase in levothyroxine so ive gone from 125x5/100x2 to 125x6 /100x1 and told me to speak to my gp and

Blood test
Gp refuses to prescribe T3 as previously prescribe my old gp and refuses to increase T4 as apparently my thyroid result is normal ( I don't have one ) no mention of the T3 10 mcg plus T4 75mcg what's the point of this ? Apparently this abundant in detail result shows I don't need an increase in T4

Cholesterol unexpected increase
Had cholesterol checked in October and total was 3.2. Was checked again yesterday and it had increased to 4.5... completely shocked as despite Christmas nothing in my diet has changed in months. What should my optimal vitamin levels be please?
Hi there, I’m trying to get vitamin levels up to hopefully help with poor conversion. Iron was low and I’ve recently retested for that after supplementing for about 3 months. Ferritin is now at 65 ug/L Folate has dropped from >45 a year ago to 8.5ug/L My question is what should they ideally be?

So my new Gp decided I was draining the NHS by taking T3 so as you may remember they refused to prescribe it even though endo first prescribe it 4 years ago and previous GP had no issues prescribing it, long story short they asked for a blood test as I argued if your refusing to prescribe me T3 ( I

Adding more T3? or keep as is?
Hello All, I am looking to see any suggestions regarding adding more T3 to my current regimen. I am on 175 Tirosint T4 and 10mcg T3; I have Hashimoto’s and have been working on my iron by adding iron bisglycinate, which has helped as I am not dizzy, lightheaded, and have more focus. I also noticed
