My Endo Consultation Disaster…. No T3 for me.
Hello everyone, feeling like I want to scream into a pillow this morning! I had my private consultation yesterday and not only wouldn’t he prescribe me any T3, he is also going to write to my GP to reduce my Levo prescription!! So it was all a bit of a disaster really. I showed him my Blue Horizon

Armour Thyroid
I was taking Armour Thyroid from 2003 to 2016 when I was told I could no longer have it and was given Liothyronine but a much lower dose 5mcg x twice a day as opposed to 3 grains of Armour x once a day. Since then I have gained weight again, I sweat profusely, and falling asleep all the time.

Should I increase T4 or T3?
Diagnosed with paroxysmal AFib in 2021 (in A&E), was on 75mcg Levo and 10mcg Liothyronine (not converting well from T4 to T3) Was doing ok with ranges of FT4 around 15 -17(12-22), FT3 around 5.2 -5.9 (3.1-6.8) and a suppressed TSH of around 0.1 – 0.005 (0.27-4.2). Was advised to drop T3 to 5mcg after

How to change from T3 only to T4?
I'm currently self medicating on 50mcg Tiromel and have been for a few years. My doctor prescribed me 75 mcg Eutirox 5 x week and 88 on the weekends. It just wasn't working for me, so after a lot of reading I assumed I was just someone with a faulty conversion gene and decided to try alternatives.

T3 only and heart rate
Hi all, I was started on liothyronine only 6 months ago and it has been life changing. It has resolved 4 years of debilitating symptoms, including chronic fatigue. I have faulty D102 and am a poor converter. I was finally taken off levothyroxine following abnormal ECG and tachycardia. I had a scan and

TSH remains suppressed
So, been taking 125mcg levo and 12.5mcg Liothyronine for years, but recently lost some weight, and started randomly throwing up. Blood tests at Dr showed,T4 19.9 (11-23) TSH <0.01 (0.27-4.5) So wanting to feel better, I reduced the t3 to 6.25mcg, and levo to 100mcg Nurse practitioner agreed to check

Okay, so, it has only recently reached my consciousness that the fact that my thyroid "died" (I got a goiter and my TSH was only barely above "normal" so at first they didn't want to treat me even though I gained 30lbs in a month and lost all my body hair and on and on) at the exact same moment (literally

response regarding my endocrinologist complaint
Hi, I am sharing the letter I received from the hospital ( it’s taken them well over 6 months). I was so ‘cheesed off’ with the reply that it’s taken me 3 days to read it again and then I spilt coffee on it 🥴. I don’t know why I thought I’d get anything better, but the response is actually farcicle

Jaw/Tooth ache with Liothyronine
In previous posts I've mentioned my poor conversion of T4 to T3 following thyroidectomy over 2 years ago. As a consequence in January I went to a private endo and got a script for 90 tablets of Thybon Henning T3 20mcg which I got from Roseway Labs. I started taking these which I split 10mcg am and 10mcg
