Colon update
He put me on some
laxatives
today so i’m gonna start those and hopefully go back to normal. I’m hoping that’s all there is to it. If it doesn’t get any better then i’m gonna see him again next week. Is this good that he said the xray is clear?

Queries re iron absorption
. - I had a week of trying my best to up my iron levels by only dietary means (lots of liver, liver pate, beef, spinach, pumpkin seeds, orange juice), but it confirmed that I really can't tolerate red meat at all - I quickly became so bloated I looked pregnant and had to rely on
laxatives
which is not

How long to get back to NSR after a colonoscopy?
Then came a day of foul
laxatives
(2 litres 😖😖😖) and hours on the loo. Since then I've been waking up every night with what feels like intermittent fast heart beats and jolts, and had the same all day long, plus a headache and very little appetite.

IBS general: my experience
Firstly, they are
laxatives
and will give you diarrhoea (sodium phosphate was once used to prepare patients for colonoscopies!). Secondly, they are associated with cardiovascular disease and accelerated aging.

Open Heart Surgery, (OHS). General comments.
I suffered from constipation, a common problem after a GA, and I took all the
laxatives
on offer. Three days without taking a dump seemed an eternity, and even slight straining caused considerable pain.

Does anyone have a change from constipation and hard stools to softer stool for no reason
I have had hard stools for a year, not taking any
laxatives
. Eating same diet. 50 50 bread. Chicken and fresh veg. Gluten free digestive biscuits . Few wine gums. Drink water. Coffee in the morning. My toilet is now much softer , suddenly changed about a week ago.

Desperate for advice
I also think am taking too many different tablets and
laxatives
at the same time which is not helping me. Instead of taking one at a time and seeing which one works best am taking the whole lot. Sorry for posting again

Very low
I have IBS mixed mainly constipation can go 3/4 days with no BM then when I go from taking
laxatives
it is soft but I don’t empty probably at all. Have a small BM and then my bum just feels constantly full.

Continued worsening of my GI symptoms in spite of treatment by a dozen GI specialists. Anyone else have had a similar experience?
Tried all the new, expensive medications as well as the gamut of traditional
laxatives
, suppositories and enemas to no relief. My symptoms have become more severe since the onset with new ones added almost weekly. Lately I am having excruciating ano-rectal pain not associated with time of BM.

SOD or Autoimmune
Add some
laxatives
, have the liver biopsy and let's see what happens. He will then (apparently) be able to have a better idea what is going on.

I ve not had one good day in 5 weeks not even Xmas day this is horrendous now I just want to be back to the way I was before I had my Covid booster (yes that is what I think had cause all my abdo/bowel issues) Do other constipation sufferers feel this way after taking
laxatives
to help them go ?

Soiling at school.
Surely the
laxatives
would be desensitising him causing him to not realise when he's been?

Can't find any help.
I've had to take
laxatives
daily otherwise my body just stops functioning. I've just had a colonscopy, I've also had an mri, flexible stigmoidoscopy and an endoscopy. all normal. but each time I give in a sample the calprotectin levels are rising, the most recent being just over 400.

Spine Radiation Treatment Next Week
Because I'm taking Ibrance I don't want to take
laxatives
so it looks like prunes and orange juice are back on the menu! If anyone has any tips for any other radio side effects please share!

Bowel is never empty
I’m on
laxatives
everyday, stool softeners, suppositories, enema and now irrigation… and even if I do all the above in a day there is still stool left in my bowel. It’s not just a feeling of me needing to go, I genuinely have to go and there is always stuff leaving my body.
