I am so upset and don’t know where to go from here…
I went to the doctors with 3 months of pain while going for a pee, I have been on two antibiotics and none have worked. So, I made an appointment with the doctor to speak about what to do to help with the pain and find out why it was happening, or so I thought. I went in and her answer was go on the

Fibrotic Endometriosis
I have had an absolute joke of an endo journey. To cut a long story short - after years of scans, a coil for 'treatment', pain etc... I finally had a lap 1.5 yrs ago and was told i didn't have it - I had an mri a few months after the lap. The consultant wouldn't show me the report, even though I asked

9 weeks post op, still pain on one side, dark shade around kidney? Also new endometrioma found 😔
So at 6 weeks I posted about pain to one side, I was finally send to SAU yesterday for bloods and an ultrasound, my back is so tender to touch and they have found a dark spot in my kidney area? They don't know what it is but sent me home with a lot of pain killers and the promise of a CT scan to take

I went to my appt the other day and I was told I can decide what surgery I would like to have for them to take out what they find, So I can have a hysterectomy and the leave in my ovaries so I don't go into the menopause or I can have a
laparoscopy
so they can cut out what they find.

Ovaries- stay or go?
Hi everyone. After over 30 years of pain and extreme bloating over the last two years, I’ve sadly no other option than to have a hysterectomy, I’ve been told. I’ve only ever had two laparoscopies in 2012. They’re reluctant to remove my ovaries, stating all the health related issues it can cause,

0Fibroids
Hello all, I have Endo & have joined the long line of strong ladies waiting for a laproscopy. I had a scan 2 years ago and they discovered a fibroid. I have attended a webinair with a very interesting consultant regarding the connection between endo & fibroids. I understand that fibroids can grow.

Considerations before a hysterectomy
My consultant who performed my laproscophy said I could have a hysterectomy 1 year after my c section. (Private) I had a tube removed and endometriosis removed in my last lap. I thought there would be other treatments to explore first?! I'm 35. Finished my struggle to get my kids. Am in constant

Robot assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy - PSA confirms microscopy after surgery
PSA, 7 weeks after surgery, was 0.01 ug/L. Recall microscopy after surgery reported the tumour was no longer prostate confined with capsular penetration and extension into periprostatic fat. Tumour extended very close to the posterior surgical margin but in none of the sections did it reach this margin

How to be referred to endo specialist in Northern Ireland
Hi all, Just looking for some advice please… I have suspected endo after a few years of symptoms leading to a 7cm endometrioma being found on my left ovary. I’m now on the waiting list for a lap, to remove the cyst and deal with any other superficial endo they see…. I’m under a general gynaecologist

Pain relief failing - Help!
I had a
laparoscopy
last June where they excised endometriosis from my pouch of Douglas. I was in agony before, so much so I had to take weeks off work (I’m a primary school teacher).

Common Symptoms.
I find it helpful when someone posts or replies with a symptom not included in the medical field's list that I do experience. Often with the comment I used to have this symptom prior to treatment. When Trigeminal neuralgia was mentioned a light went on for me and it was helpful to have a name for what

Ovary adhered to uterus
At the moment I’m considering paying for a diagnostic
laparoscopy
privately due to nhs wait times but not sure of costs and will not be able to afford to continue privately if I was diagnosed.

MRI scan

I recently had a gynae appointment (NHS), mentioned that I'm still having symptoms and asked if an MRI or other scan would help to identify the cause of said symptoms, but the response was that

Private laparoscopy- back to NHS?
Within weeks I'd had an ultrasound, 2 appointments and booked in for my
laparoscopy
, the consultant was absolutely amazing! They found endo throughout my pelvis, on my ovaries and adhesions on my bowel which were all removed as best as possible.

Having such a difficult time and not sure what to do
I had a
laparoscopy
in Sept 2021 after years of struggling with pain and periods. The surgeon said (pre op) there was a cyst on one ovary but didn’t think it was endometriosis but would remove and see if it helped.

My 25th Parkrun
This morning I headed to Knowsley which is my local Parkrun - it’s two laps of undulating track, grass and muddy paths. I met our lovely running club there and there was a primary school who’s set up a stall with goodies for afterwards. I set off with a couple of friends and my legs felt a bit stiff
