How do I split my NDT the day before tests?
I am having my blood tests done on Monday. I have been taking 75mg (1 60 mg and 1 15mg) Armour Thyroid in the mornings. I can't remember how to take it the day before. Please remind me how I should split them up on Sunday. I stopped biotin last Sunday. Thanks for your help.

Ignorance AND gaslighting
I had an unexpected blood test last week, and had taken my morning dose. The results had the GP phone me, and told me he was going to reduce my dose. I explained that I had taken my dose that morning and that would have affected the results. GP "it does not work like that. " Me "ummm" GP "this would

Bloods & Choice between Thyroid S or Armour
Hi I have been on Thyroid-S for circa 4 months, and feel much worse than I did on Nature throid before this. My Bloods yesterday on 2.75 grains (reduced from 3 grains on 30/12/21) are: TSH <0.02 Ft3: 6.3 (3.1-6.8) Ft4: 14.6 (12-22) To me they look where they should be on an NDT. So rather than change

My experience over the past two years has shown that while you can't have simultaneous hyper and hypo symptoms you can progress from hypo to hyperthyroidism and if not recognised this can be very problematic. I had Hashimotos and multinodular goitre for twenty two years and experienced Hashimoto flare

Has anyone successfully used Dr. Peatfield´s Adrenal Fatigue protocol?
I have read several articles by Dr. P where he stresses that treating and optimising adrenal health is crucial before adding thyroid hormone. He recommends using glandulars or HC/prednisone (depending on how severe the condition is) for 8-12 weeks and then trying to wean off it and see if the thyroid

List of UK GP's prescribing NDT - link request
Hi - it may be a year or more ago that I found a link on this forum which listed every GP surgery in England with the numbers of patients at each surgery who were receiving a prescription of NDT there. I didn't make a note of the link - and wondered if somebody might be able to kindly repost it please

NDT and travel insurance, any problems with cover?
I was wondering what experience people have had with foreign travel insurance and NDT. The reason I ask is, I have had a few issues with providers in the past who won’t cover certain conditions family members have had, one excuse often being ‘not covering conditions that you are still receiving treatment

Hot and cold intolerance? Anyone else?
I have Hashi's and am on NDT. My temperature fluctuates wildly from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour. It isn't unusual for my temperature to be sub 35 degree C, like today. When it is I am so cold I am shivering. However, any attempt to warm myself up - taking hot shower, hot water bottle,

Thyroid-S
I had to switch to Thyroid S 3.5 months ago because I can't source my usual NDT anymore. I felt terrible immediately. Fatigue much worse. I was hoping by now that I would be feeling better but no. I am in danger of losing my job as it is affecting me so badly. Has anyone else felt the same on Thyroid-S

Roma Liothyronine Sodium hard capsules
I’ve had a very informative telephone conversation with Roma Pharma regarding the newly licensed hard capsules. Apparently they have been available since 10 January 2022 and, if your Pharmacy is telling you that they can’t get them, then Wholesalers on the following list are now fully aware of them and

Seeing endocrinologist
T4 16 TSH now 35- the GP said ‘unfortunately’ it has gone down and I said you mean fortunately as it was 59 and 40 before having been in hospital with major ops. From 2015-2019 I took some form of NDT and it was never so high- ranged from 2-19 over that time I then tried to discuss brands and she said
