Gallbladder removed 5 days ago
Hi all, after many years of pain and fear caused by gallstones, I finally had my gallbladder removed via keyhole surgery over the weekend. It all came to a head in January just gone where I had a severe blockage that caused jaundice, reduced liver function and pancreatitis. This bumped me up the list

fed up with pain!
Hi all, First time posting on here, I’m 27 and have been given an assumptive diagnosis of endo based on all of my symptoms by my gynae consultant. I’m on the wait list for a diagnostic lap but that could be 9-12 months. I’m due to start on Zoladex in a couple of weeks as the pill is providing no relief

Back and neck pain
Hi, I've had back and neck pain for about a year now. Had scans etc, all clear. I don't want to take co codamol long term and can't take ibuprofen as I get oesophagitis.

No help or support!
Hi guys, I've been waiting for a lap since the end of 2019, still nothing and the pain is getting unbearable. It hurts to do anything, I keep having to take Co-Codamol, Codeine, Naproxen, now I'm on Amitriptyline but NOTHING is helping. I'm struggling to walk without severe pain in my right side, it

Gabapentin/Pregabalin - Who is actually finding this helps their RLS?
There has been a lot of advice on this Forum about A2B Ligands being first line of treatment (?) and I was thinking there must be a lot of people out there who were advised to come off DA's (slowly) and go onto these Ligands. Then I am reading a lot of posts of people whereby these Ligands stop working

Alendronic Acid 2 years on.
I said I'd write this post as it may or may not help anyone considering taking this medication to make a decision. I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis in 2016, having being diagnosed coeliac in 2015. My t score at the time was -2.5 in my Spine. I also had osteopenia in my hips. I was advised then to go

Prolonged Intermittent PTSD
Hi all, I just wanted to share my experience of being on ICU ventilated for 5 days and see if anyone else has had similar experiences. Back in august 2018 I went to bed one evening feeling a bit rough, took some co-codamol and went to sleep. The next thing I remember is a voice from someone stood over

I’m quite new to this site
I was interested to hear other peoples advice on meds. I’ve been taking tramadol for years and bupernorphine patches. I have now gone on pregabalin 150 3 times a day but don’t find them much good. I read from others that I should take them every day which I’ve not been doing, so I’ll try your advice

First of all , thank you all for the information you have been providing on here. I've been lurking around for about a year and find it very helpful. My history before my question: I'm a 46 years old, male. 5'6" and weigh 166 lbs and am very athletic. I'm dealing with chronic back pain from breaking

Omeprazole what if anything do I do?
Hi all. I know this has appeared in posts many times, generally with no positive comments for Omeprazole. Background I have been on Omeprazole on and off with more on than off since the 1990's. At early stage OA in conjunction with Naproxen and Co-Codamol probably for 10/15 years + pretty much continually

Cod liver oil supplements ?
Hi Just wondering as a "newbie" I keep hearing from friends who have my best interests at heart ( I think ! ) On hearing of my new diagnosis of RA consistently ask " have you tried Cod liver oil". Well my question is, why have I not seen it mentioned on the forum ? Has anyone tried it for any period

Notes made and ready for appointment on Monday... Its a 2 hour drive and weather not looking good.
Feeling a bit shabby, lots of aches and pains, eyes gritty and well... just another RA day. A shower and lots of movement tends to help, along with Naproxen and possibly Co-codamol . I will back to smiley face and optimistic outlook in an hour or so. Happy Friday everyone, go softly through the day
