Hi, has anyone had issues with their pancreas, post liver transplant. I had my transplant 16months ago, and due to ongoing pain and bowel issues, they conducted an MRCP, which showed, I have an Atrophic pancreas, any info would be great. Thank you

Hereditary kidney disease
Hi everyone, if you have kidney disease and you don’t have a cause for it but you have a parent with it and possibly other family members, you may look up a disease called MUC1. After decades of searching my family found the answer as to what was causing our unknown disease. It’s characteristics are

Traveling to Venice, Italy
Hello, I am traveling to Venice, Italy in October and have exhausted all searches for locations for hemodialysis. Nephrocare, Davita and any other sight that talks about overseas travel does not list Venice as a dialysis location, which cannot be the case. I am hoping someone can give me the name of

4 year old starting school and still will only poo in a pull up
My 4 year old starts reception in 2 weeks and still cannot poo in the toilet, only in a pull up, despite 2 years of me trying and failing to achieve this. He also soils and is on Movicol and Senna. If I am slow to give him a pull up (in the hope that as he’s so desperate to go it might just slip out

INF+ ATO Study, "A knockout combination for MPN stem cells"
Some have likely seen this study. I looked into it some more today and realize it's a neat pre-clinical result. This is just FYI right now but it's an example of potential good things to come. (I just noticed Manouche posted on this last year, anyway maybe some new details here) "JAK2V617F myeloproliferative

Denied Transplant due to Calcification. Need help.
I have a friend that has been denied a 2nd
kidney
transplant
b/c they say his arteries have calcification over them. They are unable to put it on the left side where the first transplant was, and as I said, the other side has calcification so he was denied.

Confused?
Hi, yesterday I downloaded the NHS app for my COVID pass information, under my medical conditions it lists liver steatosis (last april U.S) and renal fibrosis? (November U.S). I thought renal was kidney related? at no point has anything other than liver fibrosis been confirmed to me by letter or phone

Liver + Kidney Transplant + Nephrectomy is Terrifying
I have learned that I am most likely facing a liver and
kidney
transplant
in the very near future due to my PKD. This will include a nephrectomy. This surgery is rather terrifying to me as it is so huge. Has anyone had experience with this same surgery?

Post dental extraction
I had a molar removed yesterday afternoon due to severe pain and swelling. In my ignorant bliss I thought tooth out, pain and facial swelling will be gone, how wrong was I. Swelling worse and more widespread and pain is building back up. Has anyone suffered the same and found Prednisolone helped ?

Caring for mam Post Liver Transplant
So nervous! My mam is in the operating theatre finally getting her #livertransplant It's been a rough few years (including dealing with the alcoholism). I can't believe it's actually happening. Anyone been a carer for liver failure then transplant? Just wondering how long should I expect to continue

T2
I understand that it is now believed that T2, like T3, is produced by the Thyroid as well as through conversion, much like T3, and that this small amount is responsible for particularly metabolism and: Affecting and improving cholesterol Maintaining muscular activity Helping the liver and muscles burn
