I graduated on Sunday!
Finally! For me, this is actually the second time I graduated. I started during the first lockdown last year. I then got Covid, so had to stop, then restart. Spring 2020 also coincided with my moving to a different area, so with all the prepping for moving, I did not complete it until after the move.

New to this
Hi, Sorry If this reply to this post is too long First I would just like to say that my wife had a chronic needle phobia and would be the first to say she that she didn't help herself and others when trying to have blood taken, but after many attempts over some years no one seemed to listen to her

Discussed water consumption with my kidney doctor
I'm 72, stage 3 (sometimes a, sometimes b). I see my kidney doctor every few months. Not much purpose to see more often as there really are no medications, tests, etc., that are going to change anything. She just likes to test my urine and blood every few months to see how things are going. This

Acute kidney injury , worried!!
Hi all, my brother has been found to have thromobotic microangiopathy (on kidney biopsy) secondary to APS and likely complement dysregulation. He is on dialysis and plasma exchange. Doctors are saying the kidney injury is reversible but will take time. Anyone can throw some light on what to expect as

Prednisone dosage
My doctor said we could reduce it but she left to run a major
kidney
transplant
program. My new nephrologist said nope without hearing me out or giving any info. (he is not an experienced nephrologist imo). Just curious about the lowest dose and how it is going. Thank you for your input!

A Measure of Health with SLE Lupus
Am a 64 year old female diagnosed with SLE Lupus in the June 2000 at age 43, after 2 years of marriage. It affected my left lung (pulmonary fibrosis--doctors were preparing me for a lung transplant but refused it). At this time I was being treated with cyclosporine in preparation for the transplant

New Here, Stage 3b Kidney Disease with T1D, feeling down
My latest nephrology appointment this month involved future discussion of being placed on a
transplant
list, and looking at
kidney
failure in my future. I don't know how to cope with how I'm feeling.

Bowel and leg/stomach pain
Any one suffering with toilet troubles - even when not on period or due on. suffering with really heavy legs and sore stomach aches when either constipated or the other way. Hello I was diagnosed with membranous nephropathy which causes protein leackage through urine. I was wondering about your experience with common side effects of this medication. I am very worried because I am a phd student in my final year and need to work very hard on my studies

Update on just when you think things could not get any worse
My husband crashed this afternoon while I was there. They got him back and he on the way to St Thomas’s his kidney has started to fail. He has pneumonia. I am cross at the moment because if he been treated with antibiotics sooner none of this would have happened x

I received a letter from SSA terminating my Medicare benefits. I am not able to work. What do I need to do to get help to pay for my medications?
