I was in center hemodialysis for two years then i switched to home peritoneal dialysis which I loved. After two years it stopped working. I have been back on hemodialysis in center for the past year. I can’t make peace with it . Tried working on my iPad, watching movies, writing, reading, taking

Update on progress with MF and the FEDORA clinical trial
So to recap, I was diagnosed with primary MF in October 2022 and asked to join a new clinical trial called FEDORA. After many tests including a BMB, ultrasound on my abdomen, chest X-ray etc. I started on the pre medication of 400mg/day (in one dose) of Fedratinib in capsule form. This was the first

A Queen's Respect
Of course I have to give respect to the true Queen. So sad to see her go. I was going to say she was like the grandmother I never saw or got a call from but she was always there dressed to the 9s and had a waving hello for everyone. Aside from that I've been tired as a pot hound after a morning bunny

Finally got the Diagnosis!
Hello everyone. I am around here for 2 months now. I must say, it has been a horrible 2 months. Lots of nightmares, unnecessary operations... But today here I am again, writing to you from Copenhagen. I actually moved despite every negative development regarding my disease. I would like to start with

My IBS lasting over a couple of weeks. Worried.
Hi everyone. Just need to talk to someone who understands. Ive had IBS since my 20s and I’m 84 now. On and off over the years mostly caused by stress. This latest attack started with really bad Diarrhea and then days of no BM . Saw Dr and was given macrogol sachets which worked over the next few days

Hypoxia, transplant dry runs and raising awareness of IPF
To say a lot's happened since my last update is a bit of an understatement! After 3.5 years tapering pred I have been left with bilateral rotary cuff which is excruciating. I have had it a year now and finally have an MRI Monday. Apart from an ultra sound scan which confirmed it I have been taking anti inflammatory meds (Nurofen/ Naproxen) and exercising. It has not got any

Fibroscan
I got told in May that I would need a Liver Transplant in y2rs time after being hospitalised and nearly dying from a Gastrointestinal bleed. I am not a drinker and have had an unexplained liver condition for 35yrs. However I had a Fibroscan and it came back normal. Also my blood results are on

Dr Nicholas Vogelzang has died
Well known and well respected Dr Vogelzang of Las Vegas died at the age of 72. He’d recently retired and was in hospice care. What a loss for the Prostate Cancer community. RIP and thank you for all you did to help.

Evusheld not foolproof...be cautious still
I contracted Covid a few days ago after getting Evusheld twice... the last 300mg just about 2 weeks ago. I think one should not get complacent with Evusheld. It is not foolproof obviously and lessens severity I assume but does not prevent infection. I got Pavloxid which I suppose (lower dose because
