Prednisolone, can it be down to 3/4 of 5mg?
So I'm
kidney
transplant
patient on my 11th year. I have some hormonal issues and my doctor said I should reduce my Prednisolone from 1 tab morning of 5mg to 3/4 of tab. I'm hesitating. What's your experience?

removal of huge polycystic kidney -after almost 4 years of transplant
polycystic kidney removal. Hi I’ve just been given the go ahead to have one of my huge polycystic kidneys removed. The surgeon said I was low priority because I’m borderline needing the op. I’ve pushed to get this done because I’ve just turned 60 and am worried that they will get bigger and get removed

Stopping Prednisone
I had my
kidney
transplant
2-1/2 years ago and my lab tests are consistently good. I'm taking everolimus, mycophenolic acid and prednisone. The prednisone is causing weight gain, diabetes and, possibly, hair loss. I tapered down to 5 mg of prednisone over two years ago.

I would like to build a website to help people on dialysis. But since there are so many factors to consider, I'm hoping to get insights
What kind of website do you think will be most beneficial in helping people on dialysis? a social website that people can connect and share their experience online? maybe share information to better educate patients? Perhaps a website that allows people to share their feelings? pain, frustration? Please

Feet pain post kidney transplant
I am 2 months post transplant and I’m feeling good. I love to cook so I had my donor over for lunch and I cooked a bunch of food for her. I was standing for a few hours. I had such bad feet pain that afternoon/evening. It felt like it was radiating into my toes. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Happy New Year to you all. I have been reading the posts about UTI ‘s and the recommendations that D-Mannose is a good supplement for this condition. During November I was admitted to Hospital with a Kidney infection resulting from a UTI. I have been taking antibiotics on and off since the end

Life beyond Myelofibrosis
I progressed from ET to Myelofibrosis a couple of years ago. I had an enlarged spleen and ruxolitinib lowered the platelets too much so I was switched to fedratinib. Depending on what predictive tool was used, I had a median predicted life span of between 2 and 14 years - not terribly helpful! I was

Covid Self Tests, For Vulnerable Folk.
Dear all, The 'Availability' of Free Covid Tests is now 'Limited To Certain Groups', however Sold Organ Transplant Patients ARE Included. If you do want to 'Order' some, then go to 'gov.uk', rather than 119- or the Normal Covid Site. I found this out after 'Chasing My Tail', for about forty minutes.

Haemochromatosis and my liver
Male, now 50. My story starts five years ago when I was renovating my house and tripped down a broken staircase and knocked myself unconscious. I went to A&E and after getting a head scan my GP had me get some blood tests for any nasty tell tale signs to do with concussion and bleed on the brain. Thankfully

kidney concerns
hi everyone, I am after some advice for kidney concerns? For a couple years, I have been having pain in my back each side where my kidney is that will keep me awake all night and then eases in the day and less annoying. I thought it was due to my endometriosis turns out it’s not it is my kidneys. I

Thank You All For Your Well Wishes- Happy New Year- The Best For us In 2023!
Thank you very much for checking- * it was compartment Syndrome * it did not go to surgery, we lowered the enoxaparin dose ( based on weight- should have been correct- but was never checked by my heme when I was switched from warfarin to enoxaparin 20 November even though I asked for it to be.
