Just want to say I am feeling incredibly grateful for my
kidney
transplant
that occurred on Oct 4. My daughter was my donor and we were both released 2 days later. I was the first robot assisted
kidney
transplant
at Mayo Clinic. I have to say it was fantastic.

Terrified - just dropped to stage 4 CKD
I’ve had my
kidney
transplant
- living, from my mom, for 32 years. I know that’s amazing and I’ve been so incredibly fortunate thus far.

Second kidney transplant
Hi, My nephrologist is putting in the application for me to go back onto the transplant list. I am very lucky as I have had my first transplant for over 28 years. My GFR is running at 12. Something I wondered about is do they remove my previous transplant and put the new one in the same place? I

Posterior subcapsular cataracts surgery
I am 2 years post
kidney
transplant
due to PKD. I went to a routine eye exam yesterday and after a retinal scan was told I need to have cataract surgery, sooner rather than later, as this type of cataract progresses quickly. Anyone have this issue?

UTI/AF
Since having a
kidney
transplant
I am bothered with UTI's which quickly clears up after taking antibiotics. I also have a PAF episode more or less within a day or two of this. Has anyone else noticed having AF when also having an infection?

Hi everyone and Happy New Year
I underwent a
kidney
transplant
in 2020. Nothing to do with Vasculitis ( congenital renal abnormalities) and me and ‘Sidney’ the kidney are doing well. I was informed that my chances of rejection are low due to years of immuno suppressive therapies.

Kidney transplant and children
Hello everyone, I have
kidney
transplant
32 years ago. I now have 2 boys. My question is does kidney disease pass on to my children? My tenage son just went to have a urine test, and the result show there is a trace amount of blood in his urine.

GI issues post transplant
I am now 7 months post
kidney
transplant
. I was fortunate to never be on dialysis and had a living donor. Things are going just fine with good lab work and I feel great. I am back doing most of what I did prior to transplant.

Pork, Autoimmune Disease, and Parkinson's?
And... the other day I heard about the man who got a pig
kidney
transplant
and the radio guy said humans share more DNA with pigs than we share with chimps (he was wrong, but we do share about 98% of DNA with pigs).

My husband is 3 months post
