Surgery - Stage 4 - Increase in fertility?
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience of egg quality increasing after surgery? I have stage 4 endo with kissing ovaries. I went through a round of private ivf, they could only access a small part of one of my ovaries because they were kissing and unfortunately the 2 eggs they managed to

delayed period after progynova with cancelled donor embryo transfer
I am hoping to have a donor egg embryo IVF soon at a clinic in Spain. The clinic do mock cycles to check how your body responds to the drugs so that they can get the timing right for the real transfer as they do a fresh transfer. I was on 8mg a day from the first day of my period and had a scan to check

Low AMH Advice
Hi everyone, It’s taken me a while to pluck up the courage to post this but here we go… We had a round of IVF in January, but unfortunately the embryo didn’t implant so it didn’t work. As I only had two eggs retrieved (one transferred and the other couldn’t be frozen!) under NHS Scotland we don’t

To get signed off, or not to get signed-off, that is today's question!
Hi all - I posted something similar to this before, and I had lots of varied answers, but as my first round of IVF just failed I am wondering what I could do differently next time. I work in an unsupportive, busy Investment Banking environment, and I'm the only HR person so I cannot talk to myself ;

PSA doubled in last 30 days after 4 months stable since Provenge. What's next?
Update: PSA remained roughly 1.7 to 1.8 for last 4 months after Provenge but yesterday's 30-day PSA test revealed a jump to 3.190 so something is growing quick. I have been off of all ADT since finishing fourth LU-177 injection five months ago and one SBRT treatment 4 months ago. After LU-177, PSA

Is it PSA recurrence or not...
My friend had a radical prostatectomy a year ago. Since then his monthly PSA results were stable, at 0.006 3 months ago his PSA went from 0.006 to 0.012, then the next month to 0.029. His MO wanted to see the third month's results in order to consider salvage radiation therapy. Luckily, third month's

PSA vs Testosterone Nadir for CRPC and Non-CRPC
This plot from Safriadi (2022) compares the mean values of PSA nadir versus Testosterone Nadir comparing Non-Castrate Resistant PC (Non-CRPC) to Castrate-Resistant PC (CRPC) men. Medichecks Cortisol Saliva test
Hi, Ive received my Medichecks Cortisol Saliva test and was just wondering if it would work to take the test tomorrow and post on Saturday morning or would it be best to take it on Sunday and post it on Monday morning. Just worried that it might sit somewhere over the weekend if I posted it on Saturday

Friendship struggles
Feeling lost and looking to vent in hope that I’m not alone. 10 months into IVF and one of the hardest things I’ve found is the effect on my friendships. At 41 I thought I had found my true “soul” friendships - but most of my friendships have suffered through this. Of my closest friends, they really

Mortality Probability after first PSA rise vs non-castrate testosterone levels (low vs Normal)
Here's a plot from Atkins (2018) that shows the Percent risk of Prostate Cancer-specific Mortality versus time following a first PSA failure, for two different non-castrate testosterone levels (Low-T and Normal-T). The low testosterone levels are: median = 162, range = 120-236 ng/dL. Normal T is 400
