Liver hemangiona
hi, I’ve just been told I have a small lover hemangiona. My mum passed away in September and her post mortem revealed advanced cancer of the gall bladder, bile ducts and liver lessions. I am told there is nothing to worry about but I have all the same symptoms my mum use to get, jaundiced eyes, swelling

Chemo progress
PSA 139 @ DX1-2024 started Orgovyx and Nubeqa dropped PSA to 62.93. Started Chemo 1st infusion..PSA 23.3 2nd infusion..PSA 11.26 3rd infusion.. PSA 7.45 Just got my labs back for the 3rd infusion. Just feel disappointed as I was hoping for a larger drop and seemed to have stalled out. Does it look

Effects of dietary intervention on human diseases: molecular mechanisms and therapeutic potential
Several neurodegenerative diseases (NDs), such as epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s disease (PD), Huntington’s disease (HD), and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which feature chronic progressive damage to the nervous system, have been proven to be tightly connected with nutrient availability

Glioblastoma and Parkinson's; hereditary?
My mom was diagnosed with gliblastoma (brain cancer) in 2000. I was diagnosed with PD in 2015, If I understand it correctly, the folloing article indicates both conditions apparently can involve the same set of genes. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7468383/ I am wondering if I might

My fiancé suffered a major stroke two weeks ago a day after being diagnosed with atrial fibrillation which caused two blood clots. He was in Addenbrooke’s for six days where the doctor told me if he survived this as it’s likely he could have another stroke that he would end up in a care home. I’m absolutely

Good Morning Everyone, I have been diagnosed with early cirrhosis last summer (July 2023) and have a Child Pugh A and a meld of 9. I have done two Elastology ultrasounds - first in July was 11.8 kpa and the second Nov 1st was 9.0 kpa. My liver enzymes are all in line and came back in line within

Selegiline - Noticeably improved symptoms
My new neurologist started me on Selegiline 10 mg/day. In two weeks I reduced my Sinemet from two pills per day to one. My tremor is much calmer and I feel more clear. So far no negative side effects and I take the first 5 mg on an empty stomach.

ivf finance options
does anybody know of any finance options for embryo transfers only? I have looked at access fertility but have been advised this applies to full IVF cycles only.

PGTM after PGTA?
Hello, I was wondering if anyone has ever done PGTM after already having done PGTA on frozen embryos? We had a successful IVF round and now have a daughter. We have 3 euploids frozen from that round, but since then my partner has been diagnosed with an inherited genetic condition that can be tested

Feeling a bit traumatized post egg collection
Hi all I've never posted to a group before, or even joined an online forum but felt like I need to! First cycle egg retrieval was yesterday and although I'm managing the physical symptoms ok (some pain), it's the mental that have caught up with me. I don't know if I've been kidding myself that IVF

COVID between cycles and impact on egg quality ... Any knowledge/ experience?
Hey all - so I was meant to start my next cycle of IVF in 3 weeks time. I have been so healthy; haven't caught a cold or even a sniffle for the past 12 months but have somehow managed to pick up COVID from somewhere. I've had 3 vaccines and COVID once before but am still testing very positive 6 days

*Sensitive post* 8 week scan - experiences of growth?
Hi all. I am 8+2 wks pregnant after a previous loss last year at 7 wks. Also after many cycles of fertility treatment. It's an IVF pregnancy so we have precise dates. Struggling with anxiety throughout. Been the longest few weeks of my life so far! We had a scan at 7+1 where measuring 7.5mm. Scan dated

IVF - when does progesterone usually start?
Hello everyone Just starting our second cycle and it’s amazing how much I forget from the first 🤯 Just got our protocol emailed from Greece to start tomorrow and flying to Athens on Tuesday. No mention of progesterone yet although I have been prescribed it, does this start just before transfer.

IVF drugs supplier query
Hello! Our clinic mentioned it might be cheaper to buy the drugs ourselves rather than through them, I was just wondering where you might buy them from? Thanks in advance for your help!

Saizen online pharmacy
I am doing my ivf in Spain and need saizen as part of my prescription. My usual provider, stork, do not carry it. Has anyone had this delivered to them from an online pharmacy? Can you dm details if possible? Thanks Catriona

In 2ww and risk of redundancy at work :(
Hi ladies, I’m currently in my 2ww and I feel like I’m going a little stir crazy. This is my 2nd cycle and I ended up having a double transfer which I really wanted, OTD isn’t for another week. On top of this I’ve just been told at work that my role is at risk of redundancy. As you can imagine this
