More about Ranitidine
A while ago I posted here about Ranitidine being withdrawn. It was briefly reinstated, but now seems to be withdrawn for the foreseeable future. I have taken it for about 18 months and am concerned about no longer being able to take it as reflux (in my case possibly silent reflux) can trigger PAF. The

No medication seems to be working to ease some of the pain
Me again. No medication seems to be working. I'm currently on 3 gabapentin, Naproxen, 2 Omeprazoles (stomach was slightly damaged in early may as I wasn't aware that you had to have a stomach lining tablet with naproxen... Dr didn't give any Omeprazole with the naproxen so was advised to take 2 of them

Help needed to get on top of this IBS
Hi, I was originally diagnosed with IBS nine years ago and I can only recall having bouts of IBS twice since then. Now, I have been suffering with IBS almost every day for six weeks. I've had a blood test that has come back clear and have spoken to the doctor three times now. Firstly I was prescribed

Time of day to take Anti-platelet meds
Just wondering what time of day everyone takes their anti-platelet drugs? I am currently on 75mg Asprin, plus Atorvastatin and Omeprazole. I have swapped the Statin to taking in the morning rather than the evening, as it was giving me awful dreams. The Omeprazole gives me quite a few problems at the

No Ranitidine, no alternatives available, chest pain, indigestion, impact on ulcerative colitis.
I cannot get hold of Ranitidine at present, I have taken it for 3 years in addition to Esomeprazole and after weeks without it I am now having some very uncomfortable indigestion and chest pain. I was h pylori positive 3 years ago but after eradication therapy had a negative result, but still with symptoms

Does anyone else struggle with Pain in the upper abdomen at the base of the rib cage?
Hi everyone! I continue to find encouragement and hope as we share with each other. Last Fall I was diagnosed with CKD STAGE 3a , with a GFR of 48 and Creatinine level of 1.17. An enhanced renal ultrasound in April came back normal and an endoscopy by my gastroenterologist showed nothing beyond a small

Post heart attack readmission to A&E
I was taken to A&E with mild chest discomfort on Saturday. My MI was 10 weeks ago.I had an acid reflux attack with mild chest pains/discomfort which seemed to be an exact repeat of what happened when I had my MI. An ambulance took me to A&E. ECG was ok, 2 blood tests 3 hours apart showed troponin level

First Time Post on the IBS Forum IBS & Gerd
Would be interest to hear from those who suffer and how you manage IBS with GERD , Silent Reflux. IBS big time came into my life following the death of my wife some 9 years ago although in a very mild way had been around for 20 years prior. During the past year I have associated pain , sometimes unbearable

Vomiting every day for 11 weeks
I started vomiting 11 weeks ago, thought it was a sickness bug at first but didn't stop. Ended up in hospital on a drip. This has continued, I wake up, force myself to eat and vomit several times over a period of 4-5 hours until my stomach settles. If I don't eat every hour or so I get extremely shaky

Anybody take bio cultures?
If so, do you also take them with your PPIs or IBS meds? I only ask, as when I first started taking these https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07GRY83C9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 about 6 weeks ago, I felt like I was noticing a difference. I wasn't as gassy or bloated but things

Omeprazole 20mg warning!
I was left on this medication for around 6 years by my doctor for stomach acid. I am from the UK so although we have a national health service it’s a common occurrence not to receive a sufficient level of care. Anyway I have managed to replace the benefits that these tablets did assist with by instead
