heartburn/esophagitis
I had a flare up of heartburn/ esophagitis after coming off esomeprazole for 2 years. My doctor told me I had done well for having not taken the tablets for that amount of time. In Feb 2016 I had a flare up and now can't get rid of the heartburn pain. I'm trying to eat bland foods but inadvertently

Relief at last
I had restless legs for about 18 months and to my ultimate joy it has stopped. I tried to find out why I had restless legs on every website I could find then one morning my husband was reading the side effects of Omeprazole. Two years ago my doctor prescibed a strong anti inflamatory drug together with

Peculiar Pain in Upper back
Hiya. I do post on here intermittently & am very concerned just now. I have a GP appointment today as I am getting a peculiar pain at the back of my ribs on the left hand side. It is under my bustling but at the back of my ribs next to my spine. It has become more frequent over the last couple of months

Annoying A&E
Well, I'm still here feeling unwell and no help from anyone. Anyway on Friday I went to a&e as since Wednesday I felt so short of breath and extremely tired. Anyway I went in and I had a junior doctor who I think pricked me 6 times trying to put an IV in and trying to get blood. She wasn't willing to

Omeprazole. Is it making me feel sick in the mornings?
Folks As above? I don't normally take it but took it again for a few days (starting last Friday) when I had some "heartburn" symptoms. The last couple of days I have woken up feeling like I am going to be sick, without actually being sick. This last till around 11:00am. It really is unpleasant (

Setback
Hi all, After having a med review with my GP things were going good. I was able to start using Naproxen again after being given Omeprazole and Codeine and had a good balance with them. Yesterday was a bad day, chest pains, bad indigestion. Stopped taking the Naproxen and hey presto the chest pain stopped

Omeprazole
I have been reading about a new report that the long term use of Omeprazole, Proton Pump Inhibitor, may increase dementia risk in seniors. Yet again a drug we use may have side effects as serious as the original condition. I take PPI because I got stomach ulcers because I took Alendronic Acid to avoid

Gastro-resistant puzzle
Just about to sort my tablets for the week & notice, for the 1st time, that the 1 mg pred are not gastro-resistant but the 5mg & 2.5mg (new to help me reduce) are. Thanks to this site I have become aware of the difference. Are there 1mg gastro-resistant available? If so can I dispense with Omeprazole

H Pylori
Hi, I've tested positive for h pylori in my gut. Been given 2 types of antibiotics for 7 days and omeprazole for 2 weeks. Can anyone give me advice on what supplements etc would be beneficial for me once I've finished this treatment? I'm a bit confused with probiotics/prebiotics so would be very grateful

B12 deficiency with RA
Hi I have recently been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and have been taking various drugs before and after diagnosis. A ppi(omeprazole) was prescribed to take before Naproxen (500mg twice daily) and methotrexate (10mg weekly) with 5mg folic acid 3 days later. I also have cocodamol if needed too.
