Hormones - coil and patch
Has anyone been told to try the coil and the patch. I’m really struggling with endo pains three years after excision surgery and have a mirena coil fitted but have been told to try the patch as well to shut my cycle down. I really had having all these hormones put in my body and worried about the side

Employer not being supportive about endometriosis / invasion of privacy
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to approach having an employer who is not supportive of endometriosis / treatment, and consistently asking for a lot of detailed medical information? I’m 29, diagnosed with endo at 25. I had a surgery almost immediately after being diagnosed

Stopping Cerazette
First time poster, but I’ve taken many tips from this board so thank you all in advance. 2 years ago I doubled over in agony, eventually got sent to A&E via my GP with suspected appendicitis. Wasn’t appendicitis, it was a haemorrhaging ovarian cyst. Sent home with painkillers, had a couple of scans and

MRI for endo
Hi everyone, Reluctantly and entirely due to my complaint via PALS, I was swiftly booked in for an MRI to check the position of an

that has been causing me tremendous pain for over two years (and to look for endo etc) The gynae was defensive and frustrated with me, she tried to use waitlists against

After diagnostic laparoscopy
Hi, I had my laparoscopy 5 weeks ago and have been diagnosed with endo (12 years in the making!!). They inserted a coil at the same time as this. Since then my symptoms and pain have become 10x worse. Has anyone had this? Not sure if it is my body getting used to the coil. But I have been in so

Feeling anxious and panicky
I was diagnosed with heart failure 18 months ago and had an ICD inserted under my skin this April. This came on top of numerous other chronic health issues. I am 80 years old and have had to learn to accept all these difficulties. But last week I started with a bug (not covid) which has given me an horrendous

Anyone had an ivf after Adenomyomectomy Surgery for removing Adenomyosis and /or large intramural fibroids?
It has been 3.5 month passed from my operation , they put a device similar to an
IUD
in my womb to prevent adhesions and I am currently on Decapeptyl ( similar to Zoladex) injections not having periods to help if any endo remained and also postponing of potential return of fibroids and/or endo.

What to expect at my next appointment?
So I had my first appointment with a nurse at my GP surgery yesterday and hallelujah someone's actually listened to me! She has referred me to gynaecology. She's told me they might do a scan but will probably tell me to go on the coil as the only treatment I'll be offered is hormonal because of my age

Any advice
Hi all, I guess I’m here for some advice or just to know I’m not alone as I feel like I’m completely alone at the moment and either doctors don’t want to help me, or do want to help, but can’t! Bit of back story . . . I have always had awful menstruation pain, resulting in me being prescribed the

MRI scan with compatible pacemaker, CRT-D or ICD
I have a CRT-D device implanted which is MRI compatible. It looks like I might now need an MRI scan of my head - most likely under private health care. Does anyone know what extra arrangements, if any, are needed to have an MRI scan with an implanted heart device (one that is compatible with MRI scanners

Post op advice
I'm 2 weeks post laparoscopy and I'm struggling quite a bit with feeling generally overwhelmed with everything. I initially went in thinking I had endo in 3 main areas, but my operation ended up being 2.5 hours longer than originally estimated and ended up having the following removed: - 4cm cysts -

Missed miscarriage and endo
Hi warriors, Just wanted to share my story, because I feel so low and heartbroken, and I'm sure there are women here who can relate to my experience. The loss that comes with a miscarriage is hard enough, but then when I also have endo, it's that sinking feeling that my womb is just broken and it's

Utter despair after failed fertility treatment
Hi everyone, I have been undergoing fertility treatment for over two years now. In this time we had three unsuccessful rounds of IUI. I have pcos so was told I had to have IUI first before the NHS would consider funding IVF. I had IVF last July and was at risk of OHSS so had to freeze all eight embryos
