Odd consultant appointment
He said my
iron
levels are very low so I must be bleeding from somewhere! I asked if my
iron
levels had been tested in my most recent bloods a week ago & was told no, last tested July 2022 but they wouldn’t have improved since then.

Svt return ?
Is it my Ablation hasn’t worked and needs a top up or is the low
iron
causing issues ?

Newbie to this group (hello!), iron overload and possible PA question :/
So, on the one hand it looks like I have
iron
saturation, and on the other hand possible anaemia / vitamin B12 or B9 deficiency anaemia??

Iron bisglycinate with vitamin b12….
I bought the
iron
from Thorne but when it arrived I saw that each capsule has 300 mcg of vitamin b12. If I take 75 mg of
iron
, that will be 900 mcg of the b vitamin. Does anyone know if that is likely to keep me awake or otherwise make it harder to fall asleep? Thank you to anyone who answers!

Two weeks of relief
I have a history of low
iron
and ferritin and have been taking gentle
iron
for months. So maybe it’s just finally “built up.” But the timing of this remission also coincides with me switching my 2-3 cups a day of high quality organic cow’s milk to organic soy milk.

Loosing the will to live
Since then I have needed constant
iron
supplements to prevent anaemia (tablets made me ill, so I eventually used liquid
iron
), until 2009 when supplements made no difference whatsoever. I have since had intravenous
iron
infusions when my ferritin levels fall below 100ug.

Weakness and fatigue after nearly 3 years of injections
My other blood work has been really good, and I am taking vitamins (prenatals with
iron
, folic acid, vit d). I am on thyroid medication which is optimal. I still get regular b12 injections, which still help, but don't take away my fatigue.

Struggling
Doctors are prescribing me some
iron
pills, because my
iron
is really extremely low. They think that is what's causing my dizziness and lightheadedness and stuff, what the doctor said that is at least

Iron results-any advice?
Ferritin much better than it's been, which is interesting, as I've not been taking
iron
tablets since Oct...but still lowish. Should I restart low dose of ferrous fumarate? Or not? Thank you!

Headaches and sleep issues
I spoke to my surgeon about this during my final chat with him before full discharge and he said to expect headaches, apparently the leftover
iron
from the bleed can cause them as well.

iron related help
hi there I just received my blood test results and my Haemoglobin, RBC and HCT were slightly lower than guidelines but my full
iron
panel came back in range. Spoke to GP who said she isn’t worried and to eat
iron
rich food and a multivitamin & to test again in 3 months.

CA 125 levels and ovarian cyst
I have since got my
iron
levels back up and went for a scan in September where they found a fluid filled ovarian cyst which was 5cm. The sonography said he was pretty sure it would go. Went back 10 weeks later and it's still there and a little bigger .

Vitamin and mineral deficiencies/Thyroid dysfunction.. Chicken or Egg?
Before I spend my hard earned money on going to a private ENDO because the NHS is failing me I wanted to ask what you all thought about the problem of
iron
deficiency and vitamin D deficiency and how this relates to underactive thyroid .
