Help with GP gaslighting
I have an enlarged multinodular goitre, I have
iron
infusions, I’ve had endoscopies, I take HRT, my symptoms are worsening. I’m sick of being palmed off with antidepressants for my symptoms! I’ve had enough. Please help, what can I do?!

Never mind the adrenals, what about vitamin D?
Good and bad news - good to see ESR and CRP at the lowest levels for many years, but Bad - sub clinical hypothyroidism, looks like I have an underactive thyroid,
iron
deficient anaemia, leaky gut (back on Omeprazole and camera crew going in to check!)

My body did not get the memo.
I accept that a test had been done measuring the amount of Hydroxocobalamin and Cynocabalamin that can be measured in the urine at different times after the injection and that the numbers are likely repeatable. I do not know if any testing was done on a subject that was B12 deficient. I find it unlikely

Does anyone else suffer from these RLS symptoms? - Need Help, all comments appreciated
I am seeing my neurologist this week and will be requesting a full
iron
panel as well as my ferritin (TSAT) numbers, as per SueJohnson's recommendation. With luck, it will be as simple as taking some supplements. To me, it seems as though it's a mix of RLS mixed with something else?

should i reduce my dose?
After my last results my plan was to stay on 150mcg levothyroxine and carry on with B complex,
iron
and vitamin d and then re test in 3 months but my dr has been trying to get hold of me and the receptionist said in my notes the dr has written "is over medicated need to reduce dose" so i'm presuming

Under active Thyroid gland and FND
So if you haven't had the test, called a thyroid function test, that looks at the levels of the thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) and thyroxine (T4) in the blood done within your last set of bloods (not sure if standard and my sons last bloods showed low
iron
but no mention of Iodine levels, so assuming

Taper out T3-medication?
My ferritin is still at 19 (
iron
has dropped too), although I have been supplementing
iron
for months and also eat red meat, liver, broccoli etc everyday. I even take HCl to support secretion of acid in the stomach.

Milestones.
Seems to me that my milestones associated with my cobalamin issues tend to be known to me only in hindsight. I thought about it and came to understand that is the way most milestones actually happen and it is only in hindsight and my narrative of the past that milestones become apparent. I need to

Surprised myself
It wasn't easy; my legs were like
iron
weights by the time I did the last 5 min jog but I got to the end. And I'm almost looking forward to getting back out there during the week. Thanks everyone for the hints, tips and encouragement. Maybe I can do this.

Iron test - Please interpret
So, I had an
iron
test done to see if I have low
iron
and the results were normal. The test was done without fasting. Can it have an influence on the result? Can someone please interpret the result?

Dopamine to Pregabalin transition advice, please
Note: My blood tests regarding the ‘normal’ RLS indicators (
iron
, etc.) are all good.

Update on Pegylated interferon and parastheasia
Monthly venesections are no longer required though which is great,as
iron
levels have improved Transferrin saturation now 20(was 9) But I now have more issues with fatigue, breathlessness, which I appreciate are common side effects with Peg, Perhaps this is the natural progression of PV not just Peg

ferritin serum iron
Hi all, hoping someone can clarify for me what serum
iron
actually is? I have asked the GP if they test for this and not sure they understand. I understand ferritin is the store of
iron
, my level is 26 range was 30 - 300 but has changed to 11 -300.

Help please!
I also have low ferritin in and supplementing
iron
and vit c since summer . Brain fog and lacking motivation to finish a project , short fused, fatigue, join pain , put on weight over the tests and difficult to shed it. I did test T3 in summer and it was slightly raised.

Which iron supplement is the best and what dose?
So how much
iron
should I take? I understand that I should take oral therapy every other day, preferably at night, acc to the Mayo article, and on an empty stomach (?how to take at night?!) Is there a recommended type of
iron
? A particular make? This is my plan….
