Ipratropium

Since diagnosing asthma correctly I have tried a beta agonist and because of my heart, I switched to ipvent (Ipratropium bromide) - both have worked for me. Over the last few months, I have lost some fitness due to injury and travel but not completely. I live in Cape Town so it is winter now.

i am really struggling with this nasal cannula my nose is so sore i have to use it between my lips i am onto my 7th week struggling with copd after having pnuemonia am on ipratropium and salbutamol nebs and steroids and now the chemist tells me they are having difficulty in getting hold of ipatropium

understand my asthma and a nurse he was able to discuss this with me on a mutual level I’m now taking 40mg prednisolone daily for seven days then warning by 5mg per week until finished Flutiform 250 inhaler twice a day Co-amoxiclav three times a day Salbutamol nebuliser four times a day for a week Ipratropium

Usually, I only use my nebulised salbutamol when required sporadically during exacerbations and occasionally I will have a period of regular bronchodilators (salbutamol with or without ipratropium) as a bridge between hospital and home.

Two commonly used anticholinergics in patients with COPD include ipratropium bromide (Atrovent) and tiotropium bromide (Spiriva). Shocking part of story IS doctors know anticholinergics cause dementia and have done for years.

I had 3 horrendous episodes of coughing yesterday ( how my asthma presents) eventually had an ipratropium neb at work and a visit to the GP and I have 7 days of 40mg Pred.

Hi i have several health problems including ashma from childhood "im now nearly 60" c.o.p.d. since 2009 ihave a home nebuliser which i have to use up to 4 times a day ,so first thing when i wake up i have to take my nebs saline first followed by ventolin and ipratropium .i used to be on symbicort 400

I have the prescription for the Ventolin and Ipratropium. Can anyone advise weather this type is a old model one and is there a newer version out there before I buy one. Thank you all xxx

Last Friday was given a new pump to take but I was told I had to stop taking ipratropium which I was take in two times a day for braltus 10 microgram but now I get mod swings and very unwell like out off breath and tiyord all the time like going to bed in the afternoon and my apitiet gone to small like

Tomorrow I have a review and spirometry test following the change in my inhalers from Seretide 125, Ipratropium and Ventolin to just Ipratropium and Symbicort.

I returned to the doctor who prescribed a 60mg prednisone burst and taper with albuterol/ipratropium bromide twice daily. This allowed me to return to work for a while but I was still struggling with breathing/chest pain.

Symbicort 400 twice a day,ventolin two dosses when needed,doxycycline rescupack, co-trimoxazole one a day,fluconzole capsules twice a day.fluticasone propionate nasal spray twice a day,furosemide one aday,ipratropium&salbutamol nebuliser liquid four times a day,colamicin nebulser twice a day.

Salbutamol 100mcg and Ipratropium 20mcg. Why two? and should I use them at the same time?

Pleased that I was using nebulised Atrovent (Ipratropium Bromide) instead of Spiriva (Tiotropium Bromide), because of cost and effectiveness. Recommended weaning off Prednisolone asap down to bare maintenance level.

Since being home i've been using my ventolin approx 6x a day which I know is still within the limits of 10puffs .. my Duoresp has been tripled in dose and Ipratropium 3x day..... BuT i'm still experiencing chest tightness when talking and my voice goes.......

I am Ipratropium Bromide (brand is ipvent) and find it is not quite strong enough - especially in the cold - but am loathe to switch to a beta agonist due to their potential to trigger a-fib.

Anyone been sent home from hospital on ipratropium bromide and salbutamol nebulisers? 

And I liked the Atrovent or Ipratropium mixed with the Budesonide. The other night I didn't take it because the pariboy aerosol is so noisy and Dad was watching telly.

Pleurisy may be coming back 😢 Antibiotics, and mix ipratropium and Budesonide nebs 3 times a day. On top of usual seritide. Taper down pred over 6 days., Go back Thursday if no better scanner next week.. Never had ipratropium what's that like?
