Does the pill/coil halt progression?
Last weekend I finally had my laparoscopy on the NHS and received my diagnosis and treatment, I couldn’t have been happier. Please read my story here and get in touch if you want any advice: https://www.instagram.com/p/CzUKTp4tkwb/?igshid=anZzcWtpdjNuZmN3 But now I have been left feeling lost, my

NHS IUI funding and BMI
Hello, we’ve been referred by our gp to a clinic in Lincoln for IUI because of male infertility. I’ve read on the NHS website that they only do IUI for certain BMI ranges. I’m just in the “overweight” range. Does anyone know if I have to be in the “healthy” bmi to go ahead with IUI on the NHS?

Age, Donor Eggs & Anxiety
Hi warriors! Back on this wagon after quite sometime and looking for some advice, thoughts & most importantly your valuable emotional support. I’m 44 & after undergoing 3 IVFs & 1 IUI with my own eggs, have been advised by the consultant to consider the donor egg route as none of the cycles turned

IUI at 43
I’m hoping to hear from anyone whose had an IUI whose in a similar age range as me. I am 43 with secondary infertility (following primary infertility) and I have low ovarian reserve and had lap excision of mild endo 5 weeks ago, I also have mild diffuse adenomyosis. My husband won’t agree to IVF, and

financing iui/ivf using donors
Hi does anyone have any advice on how to finance iui/ivf? I spoke to my GP who told me same sex/solo women have to finance the first 8 rounds of IUI privately using unknown donor sperm before the NHS will help. I’m 36 so too old to get discount at private clinic (via share), am aware the sperm banks

dineogest & mirena coil
I’m in a bit of a predicament & I understand asking for advice on here isn’t exactly medical professionals but hoping to hear other’s experiences to help give me the answers. I’ve been diagnosed with stage 4 endo for 5 years, after a long journey I managed to conceive my daughter - pregnancy definitely

T3/T4 HRT Meds before surgery?
Hello lovely people, i hope everyone is managing to catch up on the long overdue sun ;) Sadly, my gynaecologist has found an ovarian tumour which needs to be removed and biopsied. Recovery from this will take between 6-8 weeks. I am in really good health otherwise but do take 150mg Levo and 45mg Liothyronine

IUD expulsion....twice!
Hey, so I was recently diagnosed with Endometriosis after many, many years of being told it's just a heavy period, you'll just have to get on with it - thank you male doctors. So now I have a diagnosis and my GP recommended the coil as a first plan of action. After insertion my coil came out after 3

Polyps and IUI
At my baseline scan last week a 3mm polyp was found on my lining, it wasn't there on my first round of IUI, which resulted in a BFN, but has appeared this time round. I am now in the difficult position of deciding whether to carry on with round two, due to surge tomorrow or Saturday, or to stop and investigate

Returning Endometriosis with a vengeance!
So approximately two years ago I had surgery for severe endometriosis. It didn’t particularly help with the pain as I also have adenomyosis, but I was just about managing. The NHS haven’t been very helpful as I have been waiting for nearly two years for the mirena coil. I took matters into my own hands

Has anyone not been diagnosed after first laparoscopy but diagnosed later?
Hey everyone! 🤗 This may be a bit of a long one, so I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read it. I was wondering if anyone had endometriosis that was missed during their first laparoscopy? I've had debilitating pain on and off for almost two years. I went to the GP so many times when the pain

Mirena coil
Hi, I have no Thyriod as I had thyriod cancer in 2018. My thyroxine has been too low for a while so Hypothyriod atm. Waiting for levels to balance but anxiety is awful. And feeling low etc. The GP recommended Mirena coil as no interaction with Thyroxine for all the hormonal symptoms. But reading

periods on mirena but no pain
I’ve had 2 laps for endo, have tri cycled the pill and been on tablets such as naproxen. Ive been so luckily that having the coil fitted during my 2nd lap has majorly improved pain and quality of life. I’ve had it for a year and bit and I’m on my 5th period. My dilemma is it’s pain free but how much
