Age piles the years on one by one Yet we try to do as we've always done The body gets weak but the mind stays strong Maybe that's where we all went wrong We should perhaps throw caution out And rid ourselves of those fears and doubt Unshield ourselves and put it about Get really drunk and rage

Diagnostic Imaging Not Yet Enough for Biopsy-Free Radical Prostatectomy - MedPage Today, November 27, 2023
Biopsy-free PCa diagnostics would be welcomed by anyone who has had one or more needle biopsies. This article in MedPage Today summarizes the current status for the several methodologies being studied as alternatives. Good info for those currently on AS or just watching a rising PSA. From the lead-in

Bleeding Prostate
My prostate has been bleeding for the past 5 months. It wasn't a real problem until I started passing sizeable clots and had difficulty starting my flow. Urologist has suggested TURP or radiation after cystoscopy. He highly recommended TURP. Anyone else have this wonderful experience?

update on sore Nipple!
so did go to see the Dr who agreed my breasts were quite tricky to diagnose due to the amount of scar tissue from previous mammoplasty - initially felt the tenderness was maybe due to simple fibroadinoma but wasn’t certain - so I was fast tracked to Derriford and my appointment is this afternoon. Interestingly

Macular Hole
Hi, long term PMR/GCA sufferer been on 4mg for long enough and staying there! However I developed a macular hole which needed surgery. Has anyone else had this problem, is there likely any association of cause with GCA /PMR or Pred? Surgery done now and I have to wait and see how successful it is.

I asked the group about a month ago if it was OK to take Atorvastatin and Ibrutinib, several members came back and said they have been on the combination. However, my Haematologist has advised and I quote: "There may be an interaction and should not be given to prevent high cholesterol and if your

Moving on from a Tracheostomy
Sorry - another question from me. As it was a slightly different topic, I thought I'd start a new thread. My dad has had a trachy now for just over two weeks, following two weeks fully sedated on a ventilator due to pneumonia. He is much improved and breathing unaided for 36 hours so far. He is also

Tinnitus and Cochlear implants
Hello .. I’m just enquiring if there is anyone out there who has a cochlear implant and tinnitus. I’ve had a lot of operations on my ear , and onto my second cochlear implant. I’m in pain still after these operations and still have awful tinnitus. Just trying to get on with things!

The Dreaded MR
I think I posted a comment on someone else's thread months ago about having to go through MR, because in my review, they had taken me from enhanced on both elements of PIP down to standard rate on daily living only. To be honest I was evidently irate in the information I sent back. Igot them to send

New and struggling to cope.
This is going to be a bit of a muddle to read as I am struggling to concentrate. About 3-4 weeks I started to get a 'clicking' in my left ear but only in response to certain sounds happening around me, running a tap for example would trigger it. As soon as the external noise stopped so did the clicking
