Bowel cleanse - parasite?
Hi! So I have a colonoscopy tomorrow. I’ve had blood in my stools since March. Initially thought it was piles but after Anusol and then steroid suppositories it didn’t stop. I also have other symptoms. Pain in lower left abdomen. Well more of an ache than a pain. I’m fit. I still run and even if I get

B12D bloods show positive TPOAb
Hi Guys A few weeks ago, I posted concern over hubby's bloods when GP said all was fine. To cut a long, and sadly not unfamiliar story to you short, I managed to get him to see a private consultant who identified at least 3 other long term health niggles associated with B12D. Hubby is now on SI treatment

Bloating worse after a BM
Anyone feel worse after going to the toilet? I can go quite normally but then straight away feel horribly bloated and a bit nauseous. No pain but an uncomfortable and generally horrible feeling. Some days worse than others but a BM rarely makes me feel better!

Repeat Lutetium/ Pluvicto treatment
Hello all, I am just curious if anyone has experience doing additional lutetium treatments. I did three lutetium treatments from September 2021 to January 2022. My Denver oncologist is concerned about bone marrow toxicity , but he does not have enough experience with this treatment to say for sure.

Colchicine toxicity & Behcets gastro symptoms
A few years ago around the time I had the diagnosis of Behcets I had rectal bleeding. I had a flexi sigmoidoscopy and not the full colonoscopy and no issues were identified other than a few piles. I’ve currently been having looser and looser stools to the point where I am getting a breakthrough on clothing

Hi all!
Hi Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I have Inflammatory Bowel Disease (was told 3 years ago it was unclassified, they were leaning more towards Crohns at the time) Since the beginning of that diagnosis, I had high liver function test results which were very high during my IBD flare ups, things

Advice about diarrhoea symptoms please
I have had very little assistance from my GP in relation to my Pernicious Anaemia with gastric parietal cell antibodies diagnosis earlier this year. GP reluctantly agreed 5 loading doses but no more than three monthly injections after that, even though I have neurological symptoms. I have been supplementing

Chemo question
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer a couple days before last Christmas so I am early in my journey and feeling very scared and discouraged. Since my tumor is too large, I can’t have surgery yet. I had my first taxol/carboplatin treatment last week. I had an allergic reaction

Acid reflux
Anyone noticing difficulty swallowing along with acid reflux? I read that prednisone can cause this, causes the esophagus to not contract enough. I tried Pepcid but it's not helping.

Fennel Seeds
Hi everyone, I've recently done some research into fennel seeds, and I've read that apparently it contains a compound called Anethole, which helps to relax the muscles in your digestive tract. I was just wondering if anyone here has eaten fennel seeds before and can verify this. I am looking for ways

IBS Colitis or what?
About a month ago I starting having a lot of cramping, loose stools, attributed it to my long standing IBS. I go for colonoscopies every 2 years after finding a cancerous small polyp (removed and resectioned with clips at Mayo, great hospital and doctors), and have had no problems in the past several

I’m on 100 mcg thyroxine and the kart prescription they only had 25 mcg so I was taking 4 tablets a day and then the recent prescription was 100 mcg. I’ve just realised today that I’ve been taking 4 100 mcg a day I think for 4 days from how many are gone. In a bit of a panic. I’ve rang 111 and they called

bowel movements
Does anyone else deal with a really sluggish bowel? I feel like the majority of the time, I struggle to empty my bowel and have really hard and slow bowel movements and it doesn’t matter what I eat (foods with lots of fibre etc), it doesn’t seem to make a difference, and then I get really stressed out

nexplanon implant removal
hi ladies, I’ve bled constantly since having my excision surgery in October. Been to my specialist who recommended that I have my implant out and reset my body completely then see about another form of contraceptive control in 3-6 months. Just had my implant removed today. Wondering how long it might
