Just saying Hello....
From what I understand it is mostly from the injected
Interferon
. This is pretty powerful stuff and most people get this sickness for about 2 days after the injection. I do my injection on Thursday evening and usually Friday and Saturday are rough days.

My 4 week checkup
Tonight was my 5th needle injection of the
Interferon
. I have no problems giving myself this injection. It is simple and painless. I should also say that I don't seem to have any of the sx associated with the
Interferon
injection itself....which is very good.

Pain in legs
I've been on
interferon

interferon
have started to become very damaged and the muscle has started to sink in?!

Having more sides....
I looked this up on the internet and discovered that one of the side effects of the
Interferon
is joint pain. I found out that if you have a history of joint pain (DBD, arthritis, etc.) the
Interferon
can make it worse. That is exactly what is happening with me.

Interferon causing hypothyroidism: Experience of taking additional thyroid medication
I have been taking
interferon
for ET for nearly 2 years. Recently I realised I was feeling quite unwell with a raft of poor quality of life stuff going on.

The Beginning of Treatment 2006
My medication is PEGASYS* (
interferon
) and COPEGUS* (ribavirin) One needle a week and six pills a day. Other meds were Tylenol Ultra as needed for headaches; not more than four a day; mostly I needed two.

Wow there's a group for Essential Thrombocythaemia!!
Over the years I have been on most of the medication available to ET sufferers from Hydroxeurea (tablet form) to Anegralide (tablet form) and finally peg
interferon
(injection) without realising I have suffered most of the side effects of the treatments but have never voiced them to a doctor because

Does anyone with MPD and taking interferon suffer with stomach problems?
As I am on
Interferon
I wondered if this was a contributing factor but my consultant is not very clear on this when I've asked.

IFN Beta trial
Hi all, I have been asked to take part in an Beta
interferon
inhaler trial later this year. I was wondering if anyone on the boards took part in the 1st phase trial that was done in Southampton and what their experience was.
