Keeping Interferon cool whilst travelling
Hi all Just wondering if anyone has any tips for travelling with
Interferon
? I’m travelling to Portugal in a couple of weeks and will need to take 5 syringes - total travel time around 7 hours taking into account airport and transfer time. I was going to buy a small cool bag for hand luggage.

Useful read for MF patients on or considering Interferon/Pegasys
Lengthy piece of research and I need to try to understand certain aspects better. It discusses impact of Inf on high risk mutations plus impact of multiple mutations re progression to AML. Of interest to Steve, INF reduces high risk mutations such as ASLX1 to same level as other non Driver mutations

Useful update on Pegasys
Of interest to all of us using Interferons or considering their use. Bottom line is that a subset of users can get significant reduction in progression and remission. There are no obvious reasons why some people get such a good response and others don’t. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5421384

VonWillebrand and Pegasys Interferon
At the appointment they said I should remain on my baby aspirin a day and wouldn't need treatment until I was older for my ET (CALR+) (I am 41) This week they called back saying that my Von Willbrand factor was on the low end and wanted to start treatment right away with Pegasys
Interferon

Encouraging trial results re MF
Remember Ropeg is around the corner which should reduce
Interferon
related side effects. “Follow‐up was 12 months. Partial remission (PR) and sustained CHR were achieved in 9% and 44% of PV patients, respectively.

Hydroxy intolerant - Pegylated Interferon next?
I am just wondering if I should try Pegylated
Interferon
because I have been so debilitated by the hydroxy and fed up of my haema telling me it's nothing to do with the drug or the condition.

A nasty inconvenience or a monster, you choose
My wife of the time immediately divorced me I changed countries and was put on
Interferon
Beta1B. I really had no choice, my Grandmother and Mother said so, I was at their houses at the time. From their I started to learn everything I could about this illness.

My TSH is apparently in the abnormal range at 0.24. Does this mean i am being over medicated?
The
interferon
injections, which boost the body's immune system to kill of the virus, unfortunately also attacked my thyroid. I thought i felt so ill due to the treatment, but when they finally checked my thyroid, my TSH was 86.1!
