Final stages of CBD
Hi all My dad is in the final stages of CBD and in fact the Palliative Care Consultant seems to think we have less than 3 months left with him. I am really really struggling with this and can't bear the thought of not having my dad but this illness is the cruellest illness I have ever encountered.

I am livid, confused , worried and scared as hell that my ORGOVYX -ADT symptoms are mine for life.
I thought 20 tx imrt & 4 mos of Orgovyx from all the docs I talked to secured a pretty good chance of crushing my cancer AND a real good chance of having my T come back to Normal after " 4 mos". "

Aetna appeal for Firmagon denial
My husband was diagnosed with high risk aggressive prostate cancer, Gleason 9. Plus one para rectal node positive. The doctor prescribed 2 years of ADT plus 5 weeks of IMRT. Had first 240 mg dose of firmagon on September 14 with no major side effects so far. Doctor used firmagon to avoid testosterone

rehab question
We’ve been told that he will now need to move onto a continuing
care
/slow stream rehab from
intensive
. I am concerned about this next stage as he is still making great progress where he is, but we are being told funding can’t continue for intensive rehab.

SIB/Flame Protocol
The RO recommends Simultaneous Integrated Boost (SIB) as part of my treatment. PSA was 19.76 (4/2023), then 21.78 (5/2023 to confirm initial PSA). He is concerned that the PSA does not match the Gleason score (4+3, grade 3) as PSA has surpassed 20. Multiplanar MRI and PSMA PET indicated no metastasis

Air fryer?
I've been eating LCHF for 4 years, and have experienced many health benefits from it. But while eating high fat, I have never turned to deep fried foods. That's mostly because I am not prepared to deep fry in my home, and outside the oil is mostly seed oils, that is highly recycled. Thus I have been

I was discharged from the

1st post-IMRT PSA = 2.1
I completed IMRT on 5/22/23. My last recorded PSA from 1/23 was 4.31. My 1st PSA draw on 8/22/23 came back 2.12. I've read and have been told that PSA doesn't go down immediately with radiation, unlike surgery, and can take up to 2 years to hit its nadir. The RO NP was happy and pretty much said that

Radiation
I had the standard IMRT for my pca back in 2013. I was told it was a lifetime dose. Is that true with the newer forms of radiation treatment? I am faced with starting a six dose regimen of taxotere now since ADT does not seem to be working according to PSMA scans. My psa remains at 1.8 even though the
