Recently diagnosed.....need advice!
hello, I was diagnosed with asthma in February (age 39). Then covid/lockdown happened and I basically haven't seen anyone since. I was prescribed fostair 200/6, this was due to being on clenil 100 and it being no help. I am after a bit of advice, I still struggle quite a bit with shortness of breath,

Week 5 Run 3 - I DID IT!!!
Second time's the charm as they say. Thank you all for your wonderful help. I did it with the NHS app today and had Laura's soothing voice talking to me when it got tough. I also took the advice about running downhill as much as possible which I managed to do. I eschewed my normal route (which probably

Asthma or anxiety?
I have tried 3 different steroid
inhalers
, had a course of prednisolone, a course of antibiotics, allergy tablets, air purifiers and also put onto montelukast. Nothing has made a difference in 4 months. Next thing we thought was maybe anxiety.

Help! Does anyone else have trouble breathing with excessive phlegm?
Hi. I have fibro/c.f. as part of an autoimmune disease. I also have asthma. I have been having these episodes for a while where I feel very sleepy and feel like I am not breathing well. If I use my inhaler, a few hours later, I cough up significant amounts of phlegm and then feel my breathing improve

Asthma hit me out of the blue
Hello to everyone at A UK I joined Health Unlocked some time ago because I suffered from Polymyalgia Rheumatica and needed advice. It's a nasty auto immune condition that can be managed with steroids. I am one of the lucky people to make a recovery after 2 years. Now, I'm getting on happily with life

Trelegy problem?
I have been using Trelegy inhaler for 3 months or so...everything was fine, but then I noticed that when I would get up in the middle of the night to urinate, I would be leaking all the way to the pot! Then I noticed I was getting some sharp pain in my urethra area..so I looked up side effects on Trelegy

Catch 22 Again.
She he accepted that the anomaly could have been caused by the the corticosteroid in the
inhalers
but she was adamant that there were no maintenance
inhalers
which had no steroids. Is that statement of hers accurate?

Steroid Card?
I've just been removing my personal information from my new inhaler (Relvar 184/22) and noticed it says to carry a steroid card. Does anyone know what this is and why it is needed? Thanks

Not my finest...
First cold run, and it reminded me with a bang that I have asthma. Only managed to run for 25 minutes as a full blown attack was threatening and after gasping hopefully at my inhaler I realised that in a moment of stultifying stupidity I'd brought an empty one. Not good. I'm not going to call it a fail

Adult-onset asthma and Cushing
Hi all! Firstly I'm Asian and not from UK, but we don't have forums like these in my country. Just would like some advice on current situation. I had adult onset asthma since start of 2019 and it became so bad I would wake up at 3am breathless and vomiting. I was placed on Seretide 25/50, 2 in morning

Asthma and AF
Hi guys, Has anyone on here any experience of using
inhalers
with AF. After a recent chest X-ray my GP said I had minor scarring on my right lung which he put down to a past infection and he didn't think it was the cause of my increased breathing issues, especially on exertion.

Not sure who to believe at this point.
Hello everyone, hope you're having a splendid day, feeling healthy, and staying safe. I made a post on this forum 3 months ago and the responses I got were very positive and made me hopeful that I'm not alone in this mess. I was "diagnosed" with asthma three months ago and prescribed a corticosteroid

Brexit and inhaler shortages
It's been clear that there will be a shortage of medicines and one of those medicines will be
inhalers
. So we will all be stuffed anyway.

Oral thrush eventually successful treatment
Back to original
inhalers
, but thrush would not go. I’m diabetic so I provide a sweet environment for it. I had daktarin, then nystatin, then itraconazole (made my teeth feel very strange). Three months on it had not gone.

Formoterol and Albuterol
Hello again I'm on, and trailed Symbicort and Fostair (2xam, 2xpm and sometimes 1x dinner time) combi
inhalers
. I know the Formoterol side of the drug is a long acting bronchodilator but I was wondering if being on these, long term (or any term) has an affect on albuterol effectiveness?
