I don't know what my real voice is.
I read that steroid
inhalers
can damage vocal cords. My voice always changes. It depends on who I speak to, or if I'm nervous. If I'm speaking to a family member or close friend, it's usually fairly deep and consistent. Sometimes it does change with family though.

Beclometasone (powder)
Hi! My GP has asked if I'd be willing to switch to the powder form of beclometasone. I agreed, however when I inhale , I don't have the sensation that the powder is coming out of the inhaler at all! Is this normal? (I have clicked to release the powder before inhaling). Thanks 😊

Mobility scooter or not
Since my heart attack my balance has got worse and I now use
inhalers
. I struggle with swimming now and I am permanently exhausted. My daughters think using the scooter will make me worse. I only want to use it for walks by the river and at the coast.

Low-dose steroids ‘bad for the heart’, study finds
“They also don’t tell us about steroid drugs being taken by other routes (such as

Why aren't my meds working?
I increased my
inhalers
to 3 x 2 puffs now and still need my reliever several times a day and even that hasn't got much effect. Are my meds too weak? Could my breathlessness be stress related and only in my head? What is going on?

Hi i am new here, i have been having chest pain and tightness for the past few months, 10 years ago i had an ablation to correct an irregular rhythm in my heart. 2 runs
I have two runs to catch you up on, neither very interesting. The problem I'm having all the time now is asthma. It wasn't an issue all summer, but now it is a real pain. My legs feel good, my heart feels good, but my breathing is a struggle from start to finish, even slow jogging. I have recently

In Limbo
I developed a wheeze/whistle at night at beginning of lockdown and was diagnosed by telephone with asthma (at age 56) and given
inhalers
. (Have not yet had lung function test due to Covid) so still not really confirmed.

Struggling!
My nurse has stepped up my
inhalers
again to same as what consultant had me on before stepping them down(with permission of GP) but even being on high doses of 3
inhalers
& montelukast & amylophiline I still can’t breathe well. I don’t feel bad enough to go to hospital but will do if gets worse.

Feeling a bit down
Frustrated too cos I’m still struggling to breathe with the step up of my
inhalers
although my Peak flow is improving. I’m not bad enough for hospital but need steroids. Will ring GP tomorrow. Sometimes it’s an accumulation of lots of things isn’t it!

I saw my respiratory consultant yesterday and she has changed my
inhalers
to Relvar Ellipta and Incruse Ellipta. Has anyone used these before and is it best taking in the morning or the evening x

Any advice on how to tackle W5R3 when you are asthmatic?
I’ve managed to complete Week 4! Yay! It’s taken me 6 months to get this far! 🤣 I had never run before in my life, and my calf running muscles were so weak I kept straining them initially, until a physio told me I had to take the programme really slowly and have more than one rest day to recover and

Is Fostair 100 mild or strong?
Is there a stronger version of the blue inhaler Ventolin? As mine is 100 and I've seen another which was a 200? Also,is Fostair 100/6 a mild or a strong inhaler? I'm suspecting I need stronger meds as whenever the weather is windy and rainy (which is quite a lot) my breathing is very bad. I've been

Untreatable Asthma?
Most asthmatics I know use a daily inhaler and rescue when exercising and are okay. I use a daily max and Albuterol in between every day even though I don't exercise. I think I have something more sinister going on. I just can't move around much, because breathing so bad. I think it's something nuerological

Trimbow users/ ex users
I have been using Trimbow for about 8 months and though it seemed to be an improvement initially on my previous
inhalers
I find that now I seem to be a lot more breathless. I wondered if anyone that has used Trimbow has found anything that helped more with breathing when they changed from it?
