Hayfever Vs Determination!
WK6R2 Done....Although the Pollen count last night was High, and this morning was Moderate. when I got up a slight dry mouth, I thought oh no not again, as a Asthmatic person I thought ok perhaps I'm just thirsty, as I'm not inhaler dependent, take it now and again.....but wow that was a mistake. So anyway

Help! Need shielding advice ASAP, shielding and mum is being asked to go back to work. Update: sorted!! :)
They are not sending back most of their staff: including people with a diagnosis of asthma on their record, but that are not clinically vulnerable, that haven't had a letter, and the member of staff who is asthmatic even said 'i haven't had a ventolin in two years' and he is on no preventative

Hi everyone, well I tried to stock up on my
inhalers
but my GP is not having any of it, I wouldn't mind but the one I wanted to get in advance, only lasts for 30 days. It's nice to see my GP is concerned about me having to keep going out for my repeat prescription.

Has anyone else with asthma found that it is aggravated by zoladex?
I have been on Zoladex for 5 months now and my chest goes through cycles of feeling fine to being aggravated and I need to take my
inhalers
more that I normally would. I have read it can affect breathing, but just wondered it anyone else has found it an annoying side affect?

How to Tell the Difference Between COVID-19 and Seasonal Allergies
But
inhalers
can be used safely by a patient, and they should be used when they are needed, whether you are at home or outside. If you have to use
inhalers
, however, it’s still very important to give extra distance when around other people.

Phlegm- whats normal?
So I'm currently been treated for asthma, still not officially diagnosed. I've had a CT scan that suggested early bronchiectasis but I've since had 2 radiologists and my respiratory consultant disagree with this. Approx 7 weeks ago I had a bacterial chest infection (my 1st ever) that's cleared with amoxicillin

Recently been diagnosed with Bronchiectisis
Hello My name is Terry, I am all new to this so sorry if this is a bit to long. I work as a postman so am normally fairly active as I walk around 9 miles a day, I also normally go to the gym a couple of times a week so I would say I am reasonably fit. I started getting breathless back in early 2019

Any advice on managing asthma
Doctor has prescribed ventolin and steroid
inhalers
which I have been on for three days now plus antibiotics but only seen a slight improvement in my breathlessness. Does it normally take longer than this to see an improvement?

What can I do to help myself please?
I am on carbocistene and azithromycin three times a week, plus
inhalers
and others allergy meds. Despite all of this I am still struggling. My infections are 8 weekly and I take my ventolin between 5-8 times a day so there is no control in my asthma.

Hi I’ve recently been diagnosed asthmatic following a nasty chest infection in Jan as breathing difficulties continued. I really am in the dark here & a little freaked out by the whole struggling to breath scenario. I have a blue Salbutamol inhaler and was originally given a brown QVAR inhaler but after

Bronchiectasis and allergic to certain antibiotics
Hello, I wonder if anyone else has this experience. I have had a chest infection on and off since Christmas. Sputum results showed staff or strep (can't remember) but it is the bug that is normally treated with Doxycycline or Clairythromycin. Unfortunately I throw up with the former and when I tried

Montelukast not working
Hi all, I posted on here now long ago. I’ve been suffering with my asthma the past 6 weeks now (I usually don’t have any problems with it unless I have a cold). I have been on prednisolone, two courses of antibiotics, a new inhaler and now montelukast. I have been on montelukast for just over a week

Low Peak flow
I have everything I need to control my asthma here... my peak flow has been low the last 3 mornings - it picks up with
inhalers
and I am not unwell, just tired and out of breath. I have home nebuliser (which I’m on now) that will sort me out for a few hours.. I have 2 packs of rescue steroids...
