hello
I was diagnosed with PMR about four years ago. Generally I am a positive person and I don’t dwell on my symptoms but getting off prednisolone seems to be impossible. I get down to 1mg then it flares again. I’m beginning to see a correlation between the flu vaccination and a flare up. I try to think

Dizziness
I’m really struggling with almost constant dizziness along with all too frequent nausea. It has been on going for a good few weeks It may be a coincidence but I think it started after my last Covid and Flu jab, can’t be sure, it may have started just before. I also had a sinus infection after

When life gives you lemons...
So after a few horrendous years of infertility and another IVF failure pre-Christmas, my husband had a chat with me and said I need to stop "hiding away" and need to start socialising again and getting a bit of the "old me", the "pre-infertility me", the "pre-IVF me" back. I realised he was right. I've

Doea anyone have any advice. I had my ablation in September and a nurse told me not to have a flu jab or covid booster. I am now stuck at home with Covid. I am a little worried about it triggering AFib.

Strange Experience
Has anyone had a similar experience? I suddenly had an excruciating pain half-way down my calf on the outside of my right leg. This lasted about 12 hours but was on the same level as the pain I had when I had pulmonary embolisms 2 years ago. It was accompanied by a type of 'cramp' feeling round my entire

Waiting PMR Diagnosis
Started in September 2023 with stiff hips and buttocks, just woke up like that. Don't know if it was coincidence but this was 3 day's after a flu jab! Gradually over the next few weeks, hip's became stiffer, burning type pain at times down to the knees. Putting on lower half clothes and shoes became

RSV shot
hello, has anyone gotten the RSV shot having PMR and GCA? I am in between doctors so I thought I would ask here. I also need my Covid booster. No problem in the past with that or the flu shot. Thank you for your input!

Think I've made a big mistake over flu vaccine!
The short story is that I got the flu vaccine in France from the pharmacist as I wasn't well enough to have it at administered at the time. I took it with me in the car to Spain and it was administered at the pharmacy on Saturday. That was 15 days later. I did not realise until yesterday that it should

flu shot reaction with PMR
I had a flu shot a month ago and I am on 5mg of prednisone for PMR. My arm has been hurting since then. Has anyone else had this problem.

Pneumonia vaccination
Hi all. I have recently returned to Spain for the foreseeable future and managed to get my covid vaccination shortly after my arrival a few weeks ago. I had my flu vaccination in the UK just before we came out. I have to say that I have responded well to both vaccinations with no adverse side effects

stop prednisone with flu vaccine?
I was told not to take my prednisone and antiviral to receive flu vaccine. Has anyone heard of that? That it would be less potent. When do we recommence ? Thank you!

Flu Jab and Heart Failure
Hi All, New on here, just wondering whether anyone has had the flu jab after being diagnosed with Heart Failure? I have an Ejection Fraction between 30%-35%. I had 1 stent in the LAD in July. Had angina as well. Is it advisable to have the flu jab?

Timing of flu vaccine when on weekly Tocilizumab
Hello all After an unsuccessful trial of 5 months without Tocilizumab, I am back on weekly injections. It's also time to have my flu jab. In the past when on two-weekly and three-weekly injections it was easy to fit the flu vaccine in not too close to the injections. Now, the best I could do would be

hello, I’ve had Covid vaccine last Friday and I still feel rubbish. Tired, nauseous , dizzy and forgetful. It’s like my brain doesn’t work properly. This is vaccine number 5. I had number 4 last year at the same time as the flu vaccine and I was really poorly. But the side effects didn’t last that long

Exercise and PMR
I am posting an update and a question. Since discovering I have PMR in Sept 2023 and starting on Pred at 15 mg, I have had a slightly bumpy start to my PMR journey. Was getting used to being on Pred when I had a visit from the Covid fairy which took a couple of weeks to clear, but I still feel I have

My Grim anniversary, Vaccine Type and Timing
With multiple fall vaccines now in use it seems timely to share our experience and advice on the timing of them. This has been discussed briefly in various threads. I invite comments on the below: In the past there was just an annual flu shot and its timing was just "sometime in the fall". No other

The Cause of my Afib - a short essay but a long post!
Apparently as human beings we are programmed to look for causes. It seems to be a stage many of us Afibbers go through despite the good advice of those with more knowledge and experience. So I thought it could be helpful to share my own journey through the folly of myth making and lost causes. And
