Advice on supplements after blood tests.
On 17th April I had numerous blood tests following a visit to the doctors to discuss my extreme tiredness and hair loss. I was subsequently diagnosed with an under active thyroid but I wonder if any one can look at the other test results and suggest some supplements. I've entered my subsequent thyroid

Health in the land of unintended consequences. Do you know about the risks of dietary supplements?
It is said that death and taxes are the only constants but we should include the Law Of Unintended Consequences as a universal truth. For patients this is particularly true. We want to be well but every decision carries the potential for things we didn't expect. How bad is it? It has been projected

Sodium bicarbonate
Ive been taking half a tsp sodium bicarbonate for the past few weeks as I read an article suggesting it helps with inflammation and may be helpful. I'm happy to report a significant improvement in morning stiffness and turning over in bed throughout the night. As it tastes so vile I've been taking it

Took
Imodium
. She looked nervous but excited. Five minute walk to the race start. Numbers collected. Timing chip attached. Bags dropped. Hat on. Another toilet visit. Everything according to plan. And we were off!

Thyroid problem

Finally I went through blood tests which came back with borderline level of vitamin D and thyroid ‘all fine’ apart from it working extra hard to produce the hormone. Surely this
