What would you say....?
And I think
ibuprofen
, cocodamol, paracetemol defo help - in that moment at least.... unless its a placebo... Anyway what do you think? The link is below, would love some thoughts https://www.theguardian.com/society/2020/aug/03/painkillers-such-as-aspirin-do-more-harm-than-good-for-chronic-pain?

Pain relief
Do any of you with a diagnosis have specific prescription pain meds for endo pains or is it a case of
ibuprofen
and heat pads? I can’t cope with extra heat on my body in this 35°c weather haha. Thanks guys x

Ongoing flare - naproxen doesn’t work!
I was using
ibuprofen
before this which I actually felt less pain on but had wrongly thought naproxen would be the silver bullet until I start on imraldi in the next few weeks. Can it be the case that
ibuprofen
works better for me than naproxen?

Anyone taking anticonvulsants?
Turns out the
Ibuprofen
affects kidney filtration and Lithium is contraindicated- meaning it causes Lithium to go toxic in the blood & brain.

At best bruised...at worst broken?
So ice, elevation and
ibuprofen
later I strapped it up to the next toe, found some shoes that felt supportive without pressing on it and hobbled about, doing as little as possible.

As soon as I got home I had some nuts for protein and some jelly babies for gelatin, stretched, had a shower and lathered the
ibuprofen
gel on my ankles. 4 hours later and the Achilles aren't feeling too bad.

Wierd/altered mental state during migraine attack
I don't take triptans or anything stronger than paracetamol and
ibuprofen
as I'm hyper sensitive to meds, but I've taken propranolol slow release for several years and Omeprazole for a sensitive tummy.

Doin' it my way...
I'm sitting here now with a bag of peas on my knee and having taken some
ibuprofen
hoping its going to start feeling better soon. Once it does I've decided to give myself a break and just run when, and as far, as I want to.

Paracetamol and
Ibuprofen
didn't touch it (they took the edge off last time) and I was beside myself. Has anyone got any tips/stories that might help me deal with it "next time"?

Paracetamol causes diarrhoea?!
I find that naturally I don’t react well to anti-inflammatory pain relief (such as
ibuprofen
) when unwell with other things, but I can’t seem to tolerate paracetamol either. It always triggers watery diarrhoea.

Pluerisy post pulmonary embolism and Covid 19
I am still on a low dose of steroids, because of the Psoriatic arthritis and have been on anticoagulants since the end of April, so I can't take
Ibuprofen
or Naproxen. All I have been given to cope with the pleurisy is Paracetamol plus caffeine and codeine, which I can take every 6 hours.

Pain from PMR or Osteoarthritis?
I can't take
ibuprofen
or aspirin because of reflux and they used to help a bit. After my hip they tried oral morphine to no effect. So l am not sure whether my pain is OA or a flare up.

27 Things You Understand Only If You Live with Chronic Pain
Pain management is a lifestyle, not a pill “Whenever I tell someone about my chronic pain they always ask if I want an
ibuprofen
. I wish I did. OTC pain meds don’t even touch my pain,” Karl says.

Myocarditis questions
Had some chest and back pain and with colchicine, and
ibuprofen
it resolved totally within 2-3 weeks. Colchicine has to be taken til September to help lower chance of a pericarditis relapse. Myocarditis - My EF on an MRI was 46%. I was prescribed bisoprolol and ramipril.
