Not much prescribed, using paracetamol and/or
ibuprofen
as and when necessary. Basically have been self-managing, although I did have a period of phototherapy whilst still in the midlands. However I’ve moved to the north west and have a new GP.

CKD 3A
For joint pains I used
Ibuprofen
pills and a 10% gel when needed. I stopped taking
Ibuprofen
pills and I am drinking more water and where possible cutting down on dairy and processed foods.

Back Pain
I have heart failure and CKD, so can’t take
Ibuprofen
. At the moment I’m on dihydrocodiene and paracetamol which I know is strong but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work. I find I can’t stand up for more than ten minutes without sitting down.

Confused
I'm thinking it had to be the nitrous oxide and/or the heavy doses of antibiotics, and the after pain med

Cimzia and sinus headaches
DMARDs nearly killed me, and I really fear a change in meds, but I’m up to 1,200mg of
ibuprofen
daily, and that can’t continue indefinitely…Any related experiences will be interesting to hear! TIA

Pain relief
If I went to my GP or pharmacist do you think I'd get any pain medication better than
Ibuprofen
and Paracetamol (neither works anymore) to get me through these next three weeks? Or would I be wasting my time trying? I can't remember what it's like to just sit and lie down comfortably 😭

Aches and pains PMR?
None of these aches and pains impinge on range of motion but without
ibuprofen
. walking is a challenge. Pain in butt increasingly worse. Also have periodic lower lip and jaw numbness. Saw doc yesterday. Sed rate in 50s, up from 30s.

Dexa Scan and my Pain - Hello :)
I do the Parrotsatethemall and
Ibuprofen
thing but still in pain. I did a 2500 step walk the other day and it was awful with my legs, calves, hands and hips really giving me some grief. I am thinking of chasing for Methotrexate now or anything else you lovely folks have taken that works......

Tumeric/circumin
I've also googled it and it does say you should not take tumeric with aspirin,
ibuprofen
etc. I am now totally confused with this information. Does anyone have anything to offer who may be able to advise one way or the other on this please. I would be most grateful. Many thanks.

solaraze for actinic keratosis
Apparently this is an anti inflammatory and I know I reacted badly to
ibuprofen
a couple of years back. I went in to afib after taking some
ibuprofen
and have never had any since. Has anyone been prescribed this gel (diclofenac) and had any issues.

Acute pericarditis following 1 high steroid dose.
I would be keen to try the medication colchicine but can’t really risk taking
ibuprofen
(a known cause of tinnitus) are there alternatives to
ibuprofen
and how important are they in treatment?

whiplash pain and interferon
It’s arrived with considerable pain ( like really severe toothache up left hand side of neck into head and shoulder blade and down arm)
ibuprofen
and paracetamol don’t touch the pain and I can’t take codeine ( it’s a histamine liberator) wondering if a nerve blocker like Pregabalin might help short
