Advice on safe painkillers please
I was told by my IBD Nurse not to use
Ibuprofen
and only paracetamol. Now the paracetamol isn't touching the pain and she has told me not to use codeine as it can constipate me. When I asked what I can use she told me to go and ask my GP, but I can't get an appointment until a weeks time.

Fibromyalgia : can anyone relate?
I take cocodamol on and off, or if not taking it then switch to paracetamol /
ibuprofen
. Just started on diclofenac as normal painkillers aren't helping. I'm taking painkillers pretty much every day now. I'm working full time but struggling.

Pain Meds vs Kidneys
I'm pretty new to Kidney Desease and a Diabetic, but I've just been wondering what over-the-counter pain med (like aspirin,
ibuprofen
, nsaids such as Advil, Aleve, Motrin, Ecotrin, etc. ) is the LEAST harmful to my Kidneys, if any.

Anyone else too scared to have diagnostic lap but 100% convinced they have endo due to symptoms? Anyone have endo symptoms but negative lap?
At secondary school I missed a dose of
ibuprofen
during my period which resulted in such bad pain I was passing out and writhing on floor of a maths lesson with the school nurse asking my sister if I could be pregnant as it looked like I was in labour.

I have noticed that whenever I take
ibuprofen
, I feel more stable and good. Has anyone else experimented with it?

Pain relief and asthma
I can’t take
ibuprofen
because it affects my breathing, if co-codamol isn’t easing pain. What else can I take to ease my pain.

Could this be endometriosis? I don't know what to do.
I don't know if I have endometriosis, but I've had awful periods from about day 1 on the first day of my period I'd always get immense pain in my abdominal area and would usually be sick, I'd sort of accepted my periods would be painful because sometimes
ibuprofen
would work.

New Ibuprofen/Flarin
This new tablet is being launched in Lloyds Pharmacy today. £7.95 for 30. It claims to act faster and cut side effects by never coming into contact with stomach lining according to an article in Scottish Daily Mail today. I'm sure there will be more info online. Certainly interests me. (Amazing how

18months after FLAIR trial and hip arthritis looms....
Paracetamol and
Ibuprofen
normally recommended and both together just about mask it. However Ibruprofen not advised with CLL....due to risk of stomach bleeding. For now my platelets are normal but I need to anticipate how to manage this....and what comes first more treatment or hip replacement....

PMR or Fibromyalgia?
(
Ibuprofen
gel, codeine, amitriptyline, nortriptyline). I haven't had my CRP/ESR levels checked but I'm aware that these may not be elevated with PMR anyway. I really, really don't want to increase the pred.

Very Irritated pain umbilical hernia
I've been taking
ibuprofen
for it. When I was diagnose the doctor told me it was a small hernia so there was no reason to do anything. Anyone knows the name of the doctors that take care of this condition?

Post Total Thyroidectomy
I have to overdose on
ibuprofen
and paracetamol just to get some relief. I also sometimes feel opiate high with some headaches like my endorphins are out of whack! Plus I notice I still have a fast heartbeat when I'm not exerting myself.
