Pain Relief and Sleep
My son broke his arm yesterday and we gave him
ibuprofen
before bed in hopes the pain would not keep him up. He didn't complain about any pain but complained that he couldn't fall asleep. He was up until midnight. I since read that
ibuprofen
can keep some people awake.

Pregabalin- Splitting the dose
I understand from my GP that I’m very close to the maximum dose that should be taken in one go, When I wake I take
Ibuprofen
which seems to help ( unless it just working as a placebo), but I know I shouldn’t take as much as I do and it’s not good as a long term solution Is it worth trying to take

Overactive thyroid and possibly Graves due to symptoms -not medically diagnosed.
Told me to finish my antibiotics and to take Propranolol 10mg /3times a day and
ibuprofen
400mg /3 times a day and to have another test in a week. That week I was a wreck, I was so bad my resting heart rate was over 100 bpm reaching 155 whilst lying in bed.

hydroxychloroquine
Consultant had hoped the methotrexate on its own (just with
ibuprofen
/naproxen/paracetamol as needed) would be enough but it isn’t. I started 2x200mg daily hydroxychloroquine this week.

Suggestions for Achilles Tendonitis
The gp suggested the same as before for the calf muscle and he gave her an
ibuprofen
gel to use which doesnt seem to be doing much though it is early days. I just wondered if anyone had any other suggestions we could try as its really making her miserable and the wedding is next Friday.

Is it ok to take painkillers with Prednisolone?
Before GP confirmed my suspicions that my muscle pains were PMR I was relying on
ibuprofen
, usually + codeine, to enable me to function which kicked in after a couple of hours. My question is - is it ok to take
ibuprofen
alongside the steroid pills? If not what painkiller can safely be combined?

I'm unable to take
Ibuprofen
as I'm asthmatic, the only thing which helped was Syndol and that's not available anymore.

Update- I no longer take Dipyridamole
Ibuprofen
also helps me. It turns down the volume on my RLS. I have noticed on long drives, my RLS goes into overdrive. Talking with my wife, next time we do a drive I am going to be taking
Ibuprofen
BEFORE we leave. That's it, that's the full update.

PMR or RA?
- In addition, the rheumatologist said he could take
Ibuprofen
or Tylenol/acetamenophin; however, his General Practitioner advised him not to take
Ibuprofen
due to it can cause problems with his other medicines.

Blood clots in calf
The outcome this time was that the ultrasound showed smaller clots but as they are under 5cm they said no medication was necessary but gave me some
ibuprofen
gel.

Ibuprofen when Hypothyroid after Graves.
Could someone please tell me if it is alright to take
Ibuprofen
when hypothyroid after Graves. I seem to remember this has been discussed on this forum before and would be grateful if someone could direct me to the post about this, or have knowledge of whether we can take
Ibuprofen
. Thank you.

PMR TO GCA OR WAS IT ALWAYS GCA? UP PRED?
So I am wondering: since the flood dose of
Ibuprofen
and Tylenol I took this morning are not touching these new pains, the dose of Pred is not touching them either, could it possibly be a flare of not "justPMR" but GCA? Which I may have had all along or it.morphed along the way?
